And that Pete Tong should be shot

Posted by Ted Promo on Jan-14-2006 23:59:

Soooo like, I listened to it.... and wondered where it went. After I had finished the show I figured I must have just spaced out an lost where the track was.

Then I listened to it again later, this time focusing on it and when the other track starts to get mixed into it. Aaaand well, I can say if that's anywhere near the whole track, it's purely an intro track. It has some alright elements in it, but it really goes nowhere. There's a build, but to absolutely nothing.

I can't even really call this a tune. It's a half a tune. A tu-.

Maybe this will change if I hear it in a different setting.

Not at all. He has some really good sets and some really bad ones, it's a hit or miss with him. However, the diversity and amount of styles he plays (decently I might add) I have to give a big ups to him.

Posted by Semirk on Jan-15-2006 21:17:

It sounds like theyre trying to be minimal or whatever to me. Theyre just badnwagon-jumpers with everything they make it seems. The Ozgur Can track remix too they did. Its ok but nothing that original.

And as for Pete Tong, he plays some decent stuff on his show, some which is just Ok to listen to but some really good tracks too for example Radioslave - My Bleep. The guest mix by Krysko & Iain Taylor was great too.

Posted by Tinigrl007 on Jan-26-2006 06:26:

for what its worth, my toes bounced under my desk at the office to this one.

Posted by Clovis on Jan-26-2006 09:23:

I can think of x* number of tracks that are more interesting than this one.

* x = infinity

haha.. cleverly said. i really used to love most productions by G&D from back in the day, but nowadays most of their productions seem half-assed and easily disposable

Thumbs up

Heard it on ASOT 242.

Pretty neat but very short track; feels like incomplete in end. One more loop is needed.

Posted by KAKAAKlol on Apr-03-2006 01:00:

I think G&D is making music shameful to listen to. If this whats coming up in 2006 then haha god help you guys.

Posted by Grrrrr on Apr-03-2006 22:38:

For anyone that still wants a sample i've uploaded a rip from asot242 LINK (Thread starter feel free to put this link in the first post)

IMO it's dull and boring and probably wouldn't be given a second listen by most people if it didn't have G&Ds name on it...

Posted by RJT on Apr-03-2006 22:50:

Sounds a bit too much like Dave and Josh are trying to rip off the sounds of guys like Zabiela and Lostep, and only doing it half (if even close to that) as well.

And +2 to whoever called "bandwagon jumping shenanigans."

Posted by Cobalt on Apr-03-2006 22:51:

I think it's neat, but as has been said, hardly innovative.

Posted by Djshortcircuit on Apr-04-2006 01:27:

is there a sample???
