[REVIEW] Club Love 1-13-06

Solast night was the first time for a lot of us at Club Love last night. For those that didn't make it....here's a summary of the place......AWESOME!!!

You come in and go downstairs into the first room, where the bar is and in front of you is a waterfall, huge waterfall, behind that is the "cave room" a room filled with little purple velvet caves 2 levels high. After that is another room with Black light graffiti art in it and then you enter the dance floor...awesome, for a "small" venue HUGE dance floor, low ceiling, good lights, the sound was awesome, you could feel the beats comin through the floor. Venue is awesome. Now onto the DJ's I didn't know all of them up there, I know Jason and he was bangin it out like always, Yohan (sp?)also good set. Everything I heard last night was great.

I hope we can get some other local talents up in there that are lookin for a new home that would be the best night ever. As one person said last night....pardon the pun....but I love Club Love!!!

just from those 16 pics i am sold on this place....

Those are some funny ass pictures!! My first time there as well and I was really impressed....it has that underground feeling to like Arc did....exactly what we need.

also, it's dark enough that you can't tell by the naked eye that they're purple

The music was great. I caught bits of jason spinning but wasn't on the dance floor much to catch any of the other djs.

I thought the velvet (or shag carpetting) was brown but I guess it was the dim lighting. I fell asleep in there for a bit until my phone rang. The cave + the bean bags are waaay too comfortable. And the music is also very clear throughout the club.

Anyways, good seeing a bunch of TAs and non-TAs alike: phuzzyfish, partyhopper, kelly, arminwhore4life, hitokiri, james, colleen, ...
I see Joey in the pics didn't bump into him or Brian.

Good times last night. I loved the venue and the very friendly feel (cept the angry looking light guy standing next to the DJ: LOL)

Great system, my feet felt great because the vibrations were massaging my feet LOL

Met a whole buncha people (thanks jay, you will introduce me to ALL of NYC if you could! LOL) and saw the people that I always love seeing

Thanks to dan for walking us in the confusing area, and thanks to Mere for the looong ass funny story about the Phish concert!!

jason jollins: I think he was the DJ on when I got there, and he played some great toonage

I read on rhythmism that the party went on til 7:30 am

anyways, looked like a great night, glad everyone had fun. drew n i were thisclose to going in but we had an early day the next day to DC, so we just decided to wait till next time.

Just from standing a few feet away from the entrance to the room downstairs, you can tell the place has a great sound system...the music + bass was def thumpin' off the walls and it sounded GOOOD. the decor def looks interesting, i would soooo love to check this place out next time, looks funky



I hope this is the beginning of something AWESOME

glad everyone had a good time. I had been to Love many times before Friday night but had never had the chance to hear the system get pushed like that. Definitely one of the best sound systems in the city right now. Awesome sets by Jason and Standenco. The dj booth took some time to get used to, but after an hour it was pretty smooth sailing. Good seeing a lot of familiar faces and meeting a lot more on Friday. Big things to come with this place....
