My first introduction to U.N.K.L.E. was actually a movie, Blade III via (Abigail Whistler) Jessica Biel's iPod (I wish she'd show me a few more things *cough*).

I love UNKLEs stuff. Some of my favourite stuff I've heard on Sasha's Involver ... they also did an awesome colab with Radiohead ... song called Rabbit In Your Headlights.

UNKLE is James Lavelle and DJ Shadow if I am not mistaken. Ian Brown does alot of the vocals for them as well. I have a number of their Albums and singles, along with an assortment of remixes. Its all gold!

I think DJ Shadow was in there early on, but left quite some time ago?
Could be, I am not 100% sure about that.

UNKLE was originally comprised of DJ Shadow, James Lavelle and Adam Freeland. Shadow has been in and out, appearing less and less with them but Freeland is still involved I think.

This great evil. Where's it come from? How'd it steal into the world? What seed, what root did it grow from? Who's doing this? Who's killing us? Robbing us of life and light. Mocking us with the sight of what we might have known. Does our ruin benefit the Earth? Does it help the grass to grow or the sun to shine? ls this darkness in you, too? Have you passed through this night? |
