I really enjoy Chris Lake changes since I first heard it on Desyn Masiello's balance cd and one of the djs played it on new year's eve..Nice mix

Soo you guys have listened to the mix, lets hear some critical feedback. This was another ableton mix as i sold my dj mixer last week on ebay. Soo the mixing and phrasing should be spot on. But i feel sometimes i have trouble with volume level in ableton some track i just cant drive any harder without them getting smashed into the limiter. Like the the parrallel sound edit of santiago. I also feel i can do some really creative mixes in ableton that would be really hard to pull off live and I believe only sasha or digweed could pull them off.

listening to the mix now. very nice and chill..... i thought the transitions are done very nicely, and this was before i read the post that it was done on ableton. so far it seems to be flowing nicely.... no key clashes so far. maybe will add more comments after i listen to the rest.

how was it preparing the mix in ableton? i have it but have not really gotten into mixing with it.... do u usually mix in ableton and have all your tracks warped already?

i mainly spin trance, but enjoy this type of jazzy house. where is a good place to get this type of house? is there a name for this specific type of house? i have a huge trance collection but want to start spinning this stuff on the side.....

My favorite mix from you so far John. Mixing of course is on point but the track selection takes the cake this time man.....great programming and selection.....keep it up. For some reason I never get sick of 'Take me away' deff one of my top five tracks from 2005.

Well, I have had tables and have djed since 1999 soo arranging the tracks in ableton is quite easy for me. At first it was a pain in the ass to warp tracks but once I got it down it was really easy, the most important thing is to warp all the tracks the same way. If you dont kicks and snares wont allign. Right now it takes <2 min to warp a typical dance track. Check out the ableton forums and do a search for warping complete tracks, there is a video demonstrating how to do it properly .

Just finished listening, the mixing is awesome. As for the actual tracks I didnt care to much for them, especially the ones with vocals. Some of the tracks caught my attention for a bit so I wont say they werent catchy. I just really cant get into house, im sorry

fr0st, good mix. At first, I was worried I wouldn't be into it because I didn't really like the first track, but it definitely improved from there. I've heard better remixes of Santiago, but this one fits into the set well. I just don't think I'd listen to this particular remix on its own if it weren't part of a set where it fits in.

Thanks for checking the mix, I really loved the first track. I thought it was one of the high points, got things bouncin'.
