Absolutely incredible tune. I heard it a while ago and have only recently found out the name which I'm really excited about

Can anyone else give me more information? Does anyone else like it? Tell me of your experiences

peace

I would love to hear a sample. The Quest - C Sharp is one of my favorite tunes ever.

Havent heard Shaken not stirred but C Sharp is pretty good!

im trying to upload the tune to putfile, but apparently the site is down for maintenance or something, and isnt accepting uploads. any other sites?

i might try to upload to yousendit, then to putfile when i can. i will edit this post in a few minutes!

http://s37.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=...FT1WSJTVC41Z6WH

there it is!

the thing i love about it, is its unlike anything ive ever heard before.. it has an oldschool sound, and sounds nostalgic, and other feelings i cant describe, even though its quite a simple tune

btw, it doesnt really sound much like C sharp, so you might not like it. parts of it are very similar, but the main tune isnt, its less 'euphoric', and doesnt have the same sounds, but check it out

i love it

i take Shaken Not Stirred instead of C Sharp any day, any hour

iirc shaken not stirred was the original b-side to c-sharp when it was first released. I've heard it before but I can't remember it to hand, I just remember enjoying c-sharp much more

why mention johan gielen, when all he did was include the track on his itwt mixcd?

Posted by Col on Jan-16-2006 17:21:

It's OK but not as good as C Sharp.

oh no.. i screwed up on the internet !

thanks for the fixup rebel9, i would have went a long time without knowing

I didn't realize the C Sharp b-sides were so unknown...

Anyway, Shaken Not Stirred is a good tune but the b2 track Solitude is better. Dreamy, uplifting stuff in the Kamaya Painters vein.

you propably haven't realized that the guy behind The Quest is Benno De Goeij. He is one half of Rank 1 and also worked in numerous other projects such as Dutch Force, Kamaya Painters, SPX etc. Full list here: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Benno+De+Goeij

and btw. he doesn't dj.
