Dream Setup For Under $10,000 USD

Ok fellow TAs iv been realy bored today so i thaught i might as well start a thread where you post your dream setup for under 10,000 (all prices in USD).
Here are a few rules or guidlines since its not a competition.

-Only new products unless its discontinued and must be second hand.
-Write where you got it from and how much it costs.
-Try not to use dodgy online stores that probably wont even have the products.

I just used decks.co.uk for most the products and converted the prices into USD using
www.xe.com.
I hope it gives other bored TAs something to do and for TAs that are looking at buying it will let them see some of the prices that are out there.

*Ableton Live - $605 (Ableton.com)

*MacBook Pro (Interl Core Duo Processor 1.83Ghz) No upgrades - $2,000 (Apple.com)

*Allen & Heath Xone 3D - $2,450

*Pioner EFX500 - $485

*Pioneer HDJ1000 headphones - $205

*Korg Kaoss Pad 2 - $350

*2x Technics 1210 MK5 - $1,360

*2x Shure Whitelabel carts - $280

*Novation X-Station 61 Synth/Midi Controller - $600

*Pioneer CDJ1000MK2 - $1,280

-Total $9815 USD

Having two efx units goes well with the xone3D since it has two send/recive loops.
I saw something interesting when i went to look for the cdj1000 at
djdeals.com click to see for youself

That is quite nice...

Without worrying too much about prices:

4 x CDJ 1000Mk2
Allen & Heath Xone 92
2 x Pioneer EFX 500
1 x Pioneer EFX 1000
New Apple Powerbook w/ Live 5
1 x Novation X-Station 61 Synth/Midi Controller
1 x Akai MPC4000 Plus
1 x ECLER NU04 5 (I know it seems like MIDI overkill, but I like options in my Midi control for Ableton Livesets )

And I'm probably WAY over 10k at this point...

Re: Dream Setup For Under $10,000 USD

Now it says "Backordered nationwide untile Feb 2006"...

Well the cats out of the bag in a number of places, they are definately releasing two new products this week. I suspect the CDJ-1000 replacement/upgrade, and a DJM-600 replacement.

As for the original thread...

I already have:

2xTech 1200 MK5's
2xShure Whitelabels
2xCDJ-1000MK2's
Xone 92 rotary
MDR-V700 phones
KRK Rokkit RP5 monitors
KRK 10" sub

So I'm pretty happy I suppose I could add in an EFX-1000, maybe some upgraded PC hardware.

Effects are fun

But rarely used effectively

Depending on the music, of course!

I love the filters on my Xone, less as effects and more as a mixing tool.

Depends, I know a lot of people who think they're a waste. For me, they've added to the fun I have behind the decks a hundred fold, and I feel realy comfortable on them... I dunno man, to each their own, but I love having a filter on my Xone running, and then rocking the echo/delay over the mids or vocals on an outgoing track during the mix, or using isolaters and delays with a wah to do my own builds...
