Trancefused in Orange County 01/21/06!!!

Come show your support for an event that for once is NOT hip-hop (that's very rare in O.C.).

Just to let you know, Trancefused this coming saturday is a trial run. If less than 250 people show up, they WON'T keep doing it.

On the other hand, if 250 or more show up, then it will be every saturday... So if like me you're tired of the O.C. scene that is 98%hip-hop and 1.9% rock, and you want some good quality trance on saturdays, then you need to support this event. That is the ONLY trance event happening on a saturday in O.C.

Line-up for 01/21/06 : e-motion (yes that would be me), 8 pm - 10 pm; Kristina Sky, 10 pm - 11:15 pm; DJ Skyko (LIVE performance with instruments, unreal this guy); Swedish Egil (the famous Egil you hear on Sirius Satellite Radio every saturday as well as on sunday mornings on Powertools, on 106 FM).

Check www.trancefused.com for all the details. For your information, the laser show alone is worth the low price of admission (only $9 pre-sale, $12 at the door before 9 pm).

Not much dance music in the OC, this guy is really trying to get something going, so if you are from the OC come out to show some support.
Looking forward to a change of scenery, hope to see some of you out there

Unhappy

I'd definately go, but it's a 21+ event. And knowing how people are in OC with fake IDs is a no

i will be here after the she wants revenge show at the galaxy

Posted by e-motion5 on Jan-18-2006 01:13:

Yep, I'm french... I know it's a point against me :)

If you have any doubt I'm french, wait until you hear my accent on Powershout Radio

I have posted a link to my NYD liveset in the DJ promotion forum right here on Tranceaddict, check it out, it's a progressive set, same style as I'll be playing as warmup DJ at Trancefused.

Also, I have a 1 hour set soon on Sirius Satellite Radio on Area 33, it should be within the next 2 weeks, that one being a bangin' set, not progressive...

I'd be there if I didnt have my own show that night. In the future I am willing to help spread the trance sound in O.C. Hit me up.

Thanks for getting the word out on KUCI.

Did you happen to catch my live set on KUCI back in May 2005 (05/20) on Riders of the Plastic Groove ?

If you know Dennis, please let him know about Trancefused, this is a one-time chance for us to get a high-quality progressive/melodic/vocal trance weekly in OC, if we don't get at least 250 people this saturday, there won't be another one...

My friend Ethan is trying to get in touch with Dennis but I'd like to make sure he pushes it and understands the opportunity this represents for a lot of OC trance DJs if Trancefused lives on...

Yeah I was gonna say, that flyer hurts my eyes

Posted by e-motion5 on Jan-19-2006 01:07:

Guys, what is done is done...

Saying the flyer is ugly is not the kind of help we need to get Trancefused off the ground. Is there any sense of OC trance community ? Do you guys want to have a strong chance at playing at Trancefused in the future ? Aren't you tired of the OC scene the way it is right now ?

For that to happen, we need all of you to be supportive, and negative comments will not help, as obviously there won't be any next time if this saturday is not successful.

I hope it does make sense for all of you. I'm into this for the music, and I WILL lose money this saturday no matter what. You do the math : 400 capacity maximum, $4500 spent, no cut on the bar tab, and an average ticket price of $12... And let's not forget the DJ guestlists and other comps, which obviously don't bring any money...

Posted by gehzumteufel on Jan-19-2006 02:22:

i am gonna try to get a friend or 2 to go to this. it would be nice to have something local for once. instead of always having to go to LA or SD.

Posted by e-motion5 on Jan-19-2006 02:40:

That is exactly the reason why I'm trying to get Trancefused started. Like you, I'm tired of driving up to L.A. for good trance clubbing, and let's not even mention the ticket prices, usually $25 and above...

Good going man. Now this is the kind of support we need in O.C., and as said before, if we're successful this saturday, the big name DJs are already lined-up...

With ticket prices like these and this kind of talent for the 21st, there's no reason for the Trance community (if there's one) not to be supportive.

Posted by gehzumteufel on Jan-19-2006 02:49:

also is this dependent on how many show up or purchase tickets?

Posted by e-motion5 on Jan-19-2006 02:56:

It's entirely dependent on ticket sales / number of people showing up, yes.

Ticket sales because if I lose too much money then I can't keep going and reinvest in the upcoming events; number of people showing up because if the club I'm using doen't make enough money on the bar they will not give me the location any longer.

Posted by gehzumteufel on Jan-19-2006 03:21:

ahh ok. well i hope i can get some friends out.

Posted by Scissorhand on Jan-19-2006 04:42:

woot woot

I will try to show up!!! However, isn't a capacity crowd of 400 a bit too small? If this thing does take off?

Posted by e-motion5 on Jan-19-2006 04:53:

400 is small capacity by L.A. standards, yes, but as you may have guessed if you've been in O.C. for a while, it's no small task to get 250 people to show up for trance in O.C., let alone 400...

Besides, we need to make a statement this saturday and prove to the club business that it is possible to have a Trance club on a saturday night in O.C., then we will have leverage to go to a bigger place if need be...

Are you guys getting the message here ? I hope so.

Well, let's get that same message across the O.C. club business (yes, they are watching).

Posted by DjWoody on Jan-19-2006 04:53:

$4,500 OUCH!!! Why so much? With that money you could've booked better DJs & gotten a better venue. I'm sorry, but more than likely you will loose most of your $4500. Even if you reach capacity, at $10 a person that's only $4000. It doesn't make sense bro. There's other MUCH Nicer & bigger venues in OC that would've done it for much less.

Either way, good luck. OC is a hard place to do EDM. Been there, done that. Even when Ferry Corsten played at House of Blues it didn't sell out. When Gabriel & Dresden played at Blue, only like 50 people showed up.

Good Luck
