Crest Performance Mixer
Here's the point : Im spinning next week in a club where the mixer is a Crest Performance mixer 6210 .... Never heard of this mixer before.
Im wondering if someone here have already spun with this mixer, and also if you're able to listen to two chanel at the time, or the master + the cue chanel in your phones ?
Thanks
Sounds like some kind of toothpaste thing...
But really I would go to the club at closing hours or when they just open (or before or afterhours) and ask if you can look at the mixer.
those are very nice (looking) rotary mixers...

copy of the old legendary rotarys...
that Crest mixer is an exact replica of the old school Urei mixer, which I have been extensively playing with at my current residency. Its a beaitiful mixer to play on depending on what equipment it is set up with. The set up I am playing with has seperate eqs for each channel, which is nice, but most Urei / Crest setups I have seen don't have eqs. One thing to remember is that that mixer has NO gains...so you have to mix in the channel fades by ear. Some tracks you will only have to put in half way because they are loud, some all the way. Mix slowly, and by ear and you will be ok. Also, make sure you know how to beatmatch with one ear, because that mixer only allows you to cue one channel.
Carbon rip off of a urei.
Cant be a bad thing as the ureis are insanely nice to use
rotary Crest
Here it is below....you will notice the layout...and they might not have the EQ part as that is optional....
You'll get used to it in the first 10 min or so...they have a nice feel to them...
The only thing I would watch out for...is the audio levels...Rotaries like the Rane and Urei usually push out a louder signal than regular nice mixers....I'm guessing this is no different...

So has i can see, you can only cue track one chanel at time with the one ear method , humm i'm used to cue both tracks in the phones and sometimes with split cue or bcz of my shitty speakers at home !
I hope i won't mess-up my mixes
Many thanks guys,
Dave

did they have any earlier models ?
the layout looks very familiar.
i've spun on a mixer that looks that but the face plate was rusted and spray painted over.
