you just 'woke up and decided to record a set'? Hmm, usually I wake up and decide to have a beer.
I'll take a listen.

Ok I've listened to this 3 mix times back to back now and probably heading towards a 4th round so here are my impressions.
First of all I think this mix is one of the best I've heard in a long while. If you told me this was a PvD or AvB liveset (keyword: liveset), I would have believed it. It has a fantastic blend of songs that carry with them a wide variety of vibes and moods, which is the primary strong point of this mix. A good mix catches your attention at a certain point in the mix, a great mix keeps your attention the entire way and that's what this mix did for me. Instead of zoning out, I was actually analyzing the mix because it was speaking to me rather than droning away with beats and synths.
There were a couple of points in the mix where you beautifully transitioned the flow of the track using either songs with breaks or much deeper hitting tracks. Although 15:00 to 25:00 could have been a bit stronger in presence I think every track in your compilation deserved a spot. The only criticism I have in terms of your arrangement is that your first track is too good to be used as the first track because since this song makes its statement with an devastating main theme you should have saved it in the middle, the heart of the mix. The reason why I said this sounded like a livemix is because you started off with such a bold song. Usually headliners like PvD and AvB will take over after the warm up DJ and usually they dont have an introduction song like a beginning of an album.
Overall I feel you did what a lot of DJs have failed at and that is to offer variety without sacrificing quality. Remember my theory about telling a story with a mix? Well you did exactly just that, not disconnected pieces of transitions where two songs go great together but not the entire selection of tracks. I hope you build upon this successful attempt and also broaden not only your style of music but also techniques in mixing. Try things like editing songs to make them work in your mix, using samples, play only parts of a song, and others things to create your own unique take of music. Like take PvD - For An Angel and use its very recognizable beats and then transition into a breakdown of another song with the same chord to tease the audience as to what exactly they're listening to. I can go on but I'll stop here. I look forward to more of your work.

Sorry For The Delay My Brothers. The Link is Back Up...
JohnPaullino!!
got this a while back. really enjoyed it.
goodddd that first song! such a sexy one.
the best thing about this mix is the levels. the mix is very crisp and clear and the levels are near perfect, which is important. another thing you do well obviously is keep the energy going. at no point does the mix die. it takes a few dips but you never feel abandoned; like you take great consideration for the listener. a couple small flaws in the transitions but you are quick to correct them and they hardly detract from the enjoyment.
just really non-stop energetic pleasure. good work.
btw, i believe that's the Stoneface and Terminal mix of Duende - Illimitado.
cheers, can't wait to hear another from you.
Thanks a alot Metatron. Your review was 100 % Right.

definetelly insane mix, i put it on my mp3 and put repeat on it today and i nearly listened to it the whole time in school, once more: insane mix mate.
This is one sick mix. I love every second of it. The only constructive criticism I can throw in is I didn't like how you put in the 1st track, mabey something lighther to start it off. Other then that, absolutley amazing.
2 questions.
What is your setup?
What is your main way you go about finding tracks?
