Thumbs up the "Orbital - Halcyon & On & On" Appreciation Thread

What a fucking track. One of the greatest tunes ever made. Can someone please resurrect this bitch?

For those who don't know, this tune is on page. 1 of your tranceaddict.com introduction booklet.

(i'd share it, but don't want to get into any copyright bollocks)

lol imagine hearing this live... mother fuck....

Posted by infinity HiGH on Jan-18-2006 23:23:

yea but where in a set would it go?

I think it would be sick as an encore track

Posted by cyper on Jan-18-2006 23:28:

Its too calm & peaceful to be put into a Trance set.

But it is one of the greatest track ever made. I think im gunna listen to it now.

i had dreams of handing the cd to some random dj at some random club and then getting blown to peaces with the bassline. the funny (yet scary?) part of the dream was when i realised i was the only one that knew it.

so yeah, i agree
one of my ALL TIME faves too

Posted by Halycon on Jan-18-2006 23:33:

definatly need to hear this track in a club before i die....

Posted by VERTiG0 on Jan-18-2006 23:36:

It's pretty good, yeah.

I concur ...simply one of the finest compostions of electronic music anywhere... Simply must hear this on the floor to close a night...hell I'd even appreciate a spot mix of it some night.

This tune rocks.

Anyone who says otherwise deserve a beating.
And it's a decent opener for a set too. (Though pretty slow bpm wise)

it opens balance 008 disc 2 quite nicely...would be lovely if desyn played it when he's here, but i doubt it. anyways...i don't find it slow at all but i don't like high bpms in general, so that might be why.
