First auto beatmatching and now we have helpers for harmonic mixing???
Soon all the skill of djing will be automated... *hops over to producers boat*
Hurray, my CDJ-1000MKII purchases were not in vain! I mean..... Darn.. no new CDJ?
Mixers look pretty cool, glad to see they finally updated the 600.

Yeah, but they said they'd only be introducing two new products.

Well as of a few days ago djdeals.com said it was discontinued in North America. Now it says it's backordered.

Anybet pioneer where planning on releasing a new cdj but sounds like they must have had some major problem with it that has postponed the release.
not enough line outs on the 400.
Those Upgrades ar every nice, just that the price should have stayed the same =)
i'm waiting to see how this midi works with the 800
i've been a fan of the 600 because it's been a workhorse
if this is just as reliable, with updated effects and other new toys
maybe it might influence my upcoming mixer choice
OMG
thats all i can say, as i drown in my own saliva
Bleh, nothing special about it IMO.

Ok naysayers...
First of all, "autobeatmatching"? How is that? It has a BPM counter, but as we all know those aren't much help. Unless you were referring to Ableton, which is the only package that can really "autobeatmatch" well.
The harmonic mixing effects look like it's a tone control for each channel, which means you'll still have to use your ears to use them correctly.

Pioneer on their forums posted that the DID NOT discontinue it.
They look quite expensive. I'll stick with my Xone 92 thank you. It looks like they took a bit of the xone like features and put them into the 800. Midi out, and the cueing looks like the xone.
I wonder how they sound... all digital.

DJM800 looks fucking cool.
High pass/low pass/notch filters on every channel!
I want to see how well the harmonic key matching thing works as well
And at 24bit @ 96KHz, it's gonna sound awesome.
Xone:92 can step aside, we have a new top of the market
I'll probably get one in the summer.

Oh, hmm. I just noticed the cue/mix knob, looking again I guess it's not really any different then the 600.
Not sure how the filter on each channel works, as there isn't a separate control for each. It looks like you'd have to move the effect select knob back and forth to set each channel.
I know it says 24/96, but we'll have to wait and see how it sounds though. I'm sure it uses a lot of same tech they put in the 1000 so it should sound great... and you can FINALLY use those digital outs on the CDJ-1000's (to connect them directly into the mixer). And it has a digital record out as well, so all digital to your PC for recording.
Looks very nice. One thing I love about the Xone's is that it's build quality is so great. I played around with the DJM-1000 and the knobs felt cheap for a $2700 mixer, the Xone's are built like tanks. I think they'll still rule the market for a a while, particularly with their great analog sound and filters.
Looks like this trumps the 92's midi capabilities, which doesn't take much, for sure.
