Its An All 80's Mix!

Alright, hope everybodys new year was nice. Thought i'd do something unique for the january mix soo every song on this mix is a remix of a song from the 1980's!(except for one song which was released in 1979 but the video for it was made for mtv in the 80's and it really popularized the song and became an 80's staple on the radio, so im cheating a little bit but who gives a f**k ). This mix should appeal to those who like that 98-99-00 trance sound as some of these remixes are older and fit in with that genre.

hey, i'm all about having an 80's or even a 90's alliance. my mixes are kinda shitty in that i'm not good at joining the tracks right now but i think the song selection is great. private message me if you want to work on an 80's alliance. i can host sets too. i have almost unlimited space and bandwidth!

Great idea with this mix, nicely selected tracks (most of these remixes I've heard for a first time though).

as some of these remixes are old im not to sure on where you can get them (legally anyway)as for the newer stuff i just always check my record store.i will pm you about gettin an 80's alliance together. for some reason i never got a message back saying people responed to this thread or i would have posted a reply sooner. i thank everybody for their comments and reviews! if anybody else wants a copy ill re-up this.

^^ sounds good, i'm all about it. i'm going to start remixing 80's tracks on my own real soon. i have the equipment and software to do it finally!

that was exactly what i was trying to accomplish. i wanted it to be unique with rarer tracks that not to many people knew. there was a slew of other tracks i could have put in but i felt they were too well known. might put them on the next comp. glad you liked it!

This is a pretty decent mix. Some of the tracks bring back fond memories. But the sound quality seems low. And it's pretty quiet compared to most other mixes that I play at the same volume.

thanks! as for the sound quality i dont know ,im recording it at peak levels and on my comp and in my car it sounds great.(but i have two tens and a kicker amp so maybe thats it) ill look into that when i make the february mix.

You're welcome for the feedback. Good luck w/ your Feb. 2006 mix. Yeah, you got a pretty good system in your car. I was listening to your mix on my computer (via Winamp) at the same volume I listen to other music, and this one sounded softer than the others.

i got the most replies ever from this mix(counting ta,other forums, and personal emails from people who subscribe to recieve monthly mixes from me)and they've been very positive which im very happy about.there will definetly be an i love the 80's part two mix because of this. im hoping for a good reaction to my march mix as well. thanks to all who downloaded this mix!

im literally stunned here. i just read that DickRenegade who posted in this thread has passed away. he seemed like a really nice guy and i have spoken with him these last few months via pms and myspace.i promised him i would give him a copy of the people are people remix in my february mix and now ill never get the chance. i cant believe it. i will re-up this mix in his honor tomorrow.
