DJ Angell - Reverie [Piano Trance - 160kbps full]

Here is my second finished tune. My last one provided me with some excellent criticism from you guys, and I hope I've developed enough to garner decent reviews this time around.

The main piano melody is from the end of Claude Debussy's Reverie (public domain classical), one of my favorite songs to play on the piano. I always thought an excerpt from it would make a swell trancer, so I gave it a shot.

Enjoy!

Very beautifully done. A joy to listen to. You've listened to my remix of "Finally" so you probably know what I'm going to say next. I would mix it a bit differently and definitely master it a lot hotter. It sounds good mixed almost acoustically that way you have - but a bit hotter would be great.

thanks for the compliments!

like many people, i'm awfully green to the whole mastering process. could you offer a few pointers as to what you mean by "hotter"?

basically i just gave the kicks, drumloops, and bass tracks varying amounts of compression, a bit of limiting on the bass, and then some slight compression of the entire track and a tad EQ'ing. any suggestions would help tremendously.

thanks again for the kind remarks.

If you like, you could send me your unmastered mix and I could have a go at mastering it. Then I would tell you in detail how it was done. Providing of course that you did not think it was pile of crap!

i would love to hear what someone else could do with it. where should i send the file? or if you want to do a full remix i could send you the complete reason file (which this song was made on).

just let me know what you'd like, i'm looking forward to it!
