yep, one of the first EDM songs i ever heard. picked up the hackers soundtrack and there it was.... from there on, bought a bunch of orbital cds... saw them in concert and they're amazing.. true pioneers with incredible imagination and creativity.... respect!!!

definitely a beautiful song..one of my fav's of all time.

was in hackerss along with underworld-cowgirl..haha that movie introduced me to edm even though i didnt really know what it was at the time lol..that and robert miles-children haha. i used to alwyas love video game music since the nintendo days i dunno why..it was only in due time that i found edm haha

The sample from Halcyon on+on+ is from It's A Fine Day by Opus III, which Kirsty was a member of. The music video for it is really wierd.

the reason Orbital wrote this track is because at the time,their mother was sick and halycon was the name of the drug that the doctor's were giving her & halycon also mean "time of our lives" in latin.

and ever notice the way theres no remixes of this track?

i dont think anybody wud ever have the balls to remix this without distroying it,nothing needs to be changed in it.

but actually the Opus 3 track was made into Orbital - Halcyon, which was further refined into Orbital - Halcyon +On +On.. the final product is definitely perfection!

... i find both this song and chicane's halcyon, so soothing to the mind. sometimes i need to listen to both songs to clear my mind and think of pure thoughts.
