just wondered what you have been extensively reccomended but then extremly dissapointed with the result due to the exagerated hype surrounding it.

Mine would have to be PUSH-UNIVERSAL NATION

dont get me wrong, this is a top choon. but it was made out by my freinds to be gods gift of a choon when its not.

Ok i found this song off of a site and my god its fucking horrible its basically a crappy techno drum solo its prob the worst song i ever heard hehe its called tuneboy - kick some bass i was like hmm ok drums for 2 mins hmm ok 3 mins hmm ok 4 mins hmm fine end the song with drums no melody no synths no nothing who would think of that heh prob took em like 20 mins to do to well thats my view on shittyest song of 2001 it might not be overated but still i heard it on a live set to, so hmm it gets played which it shouldnt.

p.s: i know some1 on this board prob loves that choon and im just giving my view point on it. so, no offense to you or any body who likes that kind of music.

hmm.. overrated tunez?!? i cant really single anyone out but in terms of getting the most airtime and play i'd say most eurotrash and that booty-shakin "ghetto" house.

oh and btw pvd - tell me why (vandit mix) was really getting overplayed at clubs since its release and it still is... not that im really complaining still a fav.

Like I mentioned before: Sasha and Digweed are highly overrated.
Somebody recommended their sets but they sucked deep.
So did BT's essential mix (live from Washington I believe).

I can't come up with any names of overrated tracks, because I usually delete them immediately after, or while, downloading.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Rank 1 -Airwave, now i got this tune as soon as it came out and i did like it, but when i started to come on here i heard nearly everyone put it in there top ten, or top three or best trance tunes of all time. Now i know everyone is welcolme to their own opinion but this wasn't just a few people, it seemed like nearly everyone, and i started to think was their some remix that was like just the best ever and i hadn't heard it, but no ! Anyways this is my most overrated tune, and just my honest opinion, so...

Hmmm - I think Push - Universal Nation is awesome and the same with the Rank 1 vs Dutch Force remix of Airwave. The mix of Airwave played by Ferry Corsten Live at Innercity (got it thru napster) is wicked!

But I guess some people doo over hype a lot of songs

I agree with you trancaholic Armin's Communication seems to just pass by on a compilation without me noticing it!

Another similarly anonymous track is Sister Bliss - Sister Sister - I tried to get into it cos I like Faithless - but there is nothing there!!

This may not really be a hyped-up song, but it is on a bunch of compilations...but I really dont like it. I dunno, its just sorta boring. It's real repetitive and doesnt really go anywhere

ok, pretty much anything that hits the local pop station here. The closest thing I've heard to trance here was Darude- Sandstorm (good song but just weird to hear it here). I've also heard ATC, Daft Punk & Zombie Nation, lol!

others might be darude - sandstorm .. it was good until they way overplayed it..

i first heard it on the DJ Networx 5 compilation, i thought it was allright, then 5 months later suddenly it starts blowing up like crazy around here. it must be those damn "ohohohoh"s added into it.

I don't even consider kernkraft400 or sandstorm trance anymore ,it's more pop now!Anyways I think anything recent from Oakenfold is highly over rated!I'll admit his earlier stuff(tranceport in particular) was good at best but since then he's gotten lazy and his music doesn't do anything for me!I don't like Aphex Twin or Astral Projection either but maybe thats jus' cuz I don't like ambient!

i cant beleive some of you hated Armin - Communication...to me that tune is probably one of my all time trax...it was actually one of the first trax to really give me goose bumps when i heard it ..and still does....its a shame some of you dont feel the same way..to me it was a masterpiece....... and the tune i thought was overrated and was Way overplayed it i never really liked was ATB - 9pm till i come....i didnt like those Guitar chords in it at all...but most of you probably didnt like it either lol!!

Armin - Communication... yeah it just sounded like everything else really didnt it... and also Gouryella - Gouryella.. im not sayin its a crap tune coz it aint, but it was another one of those u found on the tracklist for every compilation in 1999...
