AUDIOJELLY WORLD EXCLUSIVE: HOOJ CHOONS

The back catalogue of Hooj Choons is now exclusively available for the first time as mp3's on the site. One of the most famous British labels of the last 15 years have enjoyed worldwide success with some of the leading artists and producers making up the roster of the London based imprint. Among the many favourites of Hooj afficionados and beyond, is the track that regularly tops the polls of the greatest dance anthems of all time. Cafe Del Mar's Energy 52 needs no further explanation to anybody who has been in a club when this track has been played. Visit the Hooj Choons page for this and other treats from a truly classic label.

Although they got Energy52 round the wrong way, this is good news. I think its time for us all to purchase the old Hooj tunes we downloaded back in the day.

Another label finally getting with the times with paid downloads

Aye. But for digital DJs, this helps.

Eh, as long as it's at least 320 I'm fine. Anything less, and I wouldn't go for it.

Nah, looking at what they have it goes back to about 98-99 so far, some old medaway and killahurtz are prolly the older of the tracks there now.

Audiogalaxy do 320kbps so these should be available in that bitrate.

It's all too recent to be of any interest to me though.

Posted by idoru on Jan-22-2006 02:32:

I could use a couple of the tunes, but I'd kill for them to start selling the older stuff.

that's a pretty limited selection and i pretty much have everything i want from hooj on CD already, the ones i don't have are not available for download there either.

too bad they left out lots of unreleased stuff. i'm sure Hooj still have alot of unreleased stuff which never had a proper release.

I mean CM - Dream Universe (16's still water remix), Miro - By Your Side (instrumental), Lustral - Everytime (Katchas last time remix), Katcha Touched By God (Katcha's Quiet Storm Mix), Tilt Invisible (Ambient dub), Space Manoeuvres - Stage One (Blain Sandhag Mix), Pete Lazonby - Sacred Cycles (Healing Mix)

So glad I could finally get Little Wonder's "Eclipse", i've wanted that for a long time. Could never find it on vinyl (and when it was available I didn't have much $$ for it). Then they stopped pressing it. Found it on City16.com, but was unable to download it, there was DRM attached to it and for some reason my computer wouldn't play it. It was only a 192kbps file anyways. So finally I get Eclipse and it's close to being the same quality as vinyl or a wav file. Really enjoy all the mixes, esp the "Fictivison & C-Quence" Remix.
