Dunno Tracks With Good Spoken Words for intro

i need some good suggestions, for tracks that have good spoken words, more like an accapella, for use as a good introduction for a mix.......

its hard to get a good Accapella for trance, as the ones out there are just mainly suited for house and scratch djs

cheers,

Just fuck off already. Nothing's more sad than someone going to a place they hate just to get a rise out of people.

Err, why don't you actually just get an accapella? That way you are not limited to certain records and you can do any combinations you want.

Get a vocoder program and make your own and so on...

Nice to see some well structured arguements here.

Just for your information, some of the ground breaking house producers and DJs are as gay as you like (literally).

Seriously though, your post places you at about the mental age of twelve so if that's all you got then don't bother.

Idea

tiga - louder than a bomb (acapella)

100% guaranteed to get the party started

Check out some of Enigma's CDs, like McMxCaD (with the "Voice Of Enigma") or Cross Of Changes or Le Roi Est Mort Vive Le Roi. The intros and outros of those CDs should have some spoken word, but I would check them first. If you own those CDs, even better...

Lots of political speeches can be fun.. though a little too heavy sometimes..

yes, ive been searching quite hard for decent accapellas, but like i said they are mainly suited for house music, cos in general they are just of some diva screaming her head off, and that aint really what im looking for, tho i do have a couple accapellas on vinyl, which are decent......ie Mona Lisa Overdrive - Born To Synthesize......and theres that obvious Martin Luther King one, i just want one to get everyones attention straight away at a start of a mix, if you know what i mean

thanks for all the suggestions though

Acapella: Foremost Poets - Moonraker

is a good one, it is more for house, but could be for any genre i suppose.

I sometimes also look to films for inspiration, you would be surprised what you can find if you just take the time to look. Bit over done perhaps but if you are clever about it, you can get some good results.

PS
Like the bit about some diva screaming her head off... made me laugh.

do you know anywhere you can get vocals from the film "Fear & Lothing In Las Vegas"???

i got one from Blow, the bit talking about coke melting at 187 degrees, its a good one.

Strangely enough I have it on my hard drive, will place it on my website so that you can get a hold of it. Not sure about the quality though.

last time i saw PVD at space he opened with this siiiiiiick track. i couldnt tell if it was an acapella or not but it was like:

"my finger... is on... the button...."

he built that shit up for like 5 mins without dropping the beat. just kept building and building, and when he finally dropped it...

"my finer, is on, the BOOOOOOOM!!!!!!"

whatever that was i want that shit.

"she was living in a single bedroom apartment with three other individuals. one of them was a male, and the other two.. why, the other two were females. God only knows what they were up to in there. and furthermore, susan, i wouldn't be the least bit surprised to learn that all four of them habitually smoked marijuana cigarettes.
