who will be the next WRC??

OK, this is for all the rallyfans out there (underneath them myself)

This thursday, the rally of monte carlo starts. One brand new season coming up!! So, who is going 2b the new world rally champion???

personily I think it's going 2b between the 2 peugeotdrivers: very good cars(champions last 2 years) and with richard burns as last season's champion and former world champion (2000) Marcus gronholm who won a couple of races at the end of last season and therefore has increased his confidence in the car I think it's a battle between the 2 of them, + colin 'good old crashing' mcrae.

should be sweet..

what do you think (wondering how many rally'addicts' are out there)

Marcus Gr�nholm is going to take it this season.

I expect that Carlos Sainz wins this season.

He had bad luck the latest years!

neah, dont think so. He didn't had any more bad luck then other drivers. He should have picked the title in it was I believe 1998, when he retired 300 meters away from te world cup. THATS what I call BAD LUCK

Today has finished the Sweden Rally.

Rally final classification:
1.- Gr�nholm
2.- Rovanper�
3.- Carlos Sainz

Championship:
1.- Gr�nholm..... 12 pt
2.- Makkinen..... 10 pt
3.- Carlos Sainz. 8 pt

just was about to watch eurosport to look at the rally, now I know the result already ==>> asshole

Yes, but only post 200 or perhaps 300 of them.

Take a look to the people that make the birthday. Most of them have 0 posts.

Anyway, have you ever been in a world rally?. It's awesome. I have been a couple of times in the Catalonia - Spain Rally. Always the second stage is run at about 30 km from home. It is incredible, in these roads you drive at 40 - 50 km/h and the word rally pilots drive at 140 - 150 km/h.

we haven't been to any World Rally so far,
it's one of the wishes i have.......(birthday present for me, Kolkie??)

We've been to a couple of rally's in our neighbourhood,
called: Golden Tulip Rally and Twenterally.......pretty cool
THE yearevent in our country!!!

nope, haven't been there yet....

but this year, there is a wrc called the deutschland rally, I don't think that is to far away so maybe ...

really want to visit the network Q rally once as well.....

Freddy Loix will have his major breaktrough

can see where you are coming from without looking at the flag

think he is going 2b better this year than previous years, but no breakthrough though...

quite remarkeble is that tommi makinen actually the only rallydriver is that actually could win with the lancer evo 6 (and 5,4,3 etc.)

other drivers that tried mostly failed...almost would think it's just a strange car to drive....

That's becouse the team did everything for makkinnen and nothing for the co-driver.
All settings of the car were makinnen's settings.

Isn�t it so that the only reason why Loix is even allowed to come near a rallycar is because he is loaded with money to help the team?

i think its gonna be the pugs. mcrae could win if he wasnt driving the brand of car destined to break(ford). makinen could take it away also if he doesnt crash his car too often. i just dont see any real way for gronholm and burns to lose...late/

and they did a fine job in france...

offcourse their car is VERY good at tarmac, and therefor no surprise (allthough the citroen should have kept up more then they did now...)

biggest dissapointment this season: mitsubishi. men they don't kick ANY ass anymore...they've fallen a Loooooong way... to bad... I used to love the evo 6 performance....

anywayz... 2 weeks untill I am gonna visit the first rally in holland of this season...

did ANYONE see that trick panizzi did? here is what happened: panizzi was leading the match with something like 44 seconds ahead of number two. Then, he comes into this harpin, with above it a huge bridge and alltogether thousands and thousands of peeps... and what do you think he does? he pulls the handbrake and does a f|_|cking donut!!! in the middle of the stage!!! and the crowd loooooved it!! I mean, look at the dominance he has on tarmac, that he can do a trick like that!!

for those of you who don't know the final results:

1 panizzi (peugeot)
2 burns (peugeot)
3 ....forgot the name atm (citroen)
4 gronholm (peugeot)
5 ...(solberg??)
6 ...(mcrae??)

sainz had a crash during the second day and therefor did not finish...

anywayz, as said before, we visited a rally ourselves (me and ruben_dubbink) last weekend... it ofcourse ROCKED .. we've seen quite some spectaculair stuff allthough there were not too many entries.... I believe ruben made over a 100 pics, but am waiting to get them (hinthint)
