Different types of trance

Hi all,

I used to really be into uplifting type trance, like Matt Darey, Paul Van Dyke and that kind of stuff. I still am but recently have been listening to stuff like Katana - Fancy Fair, Marco V - Simulated, what type of trance would you class that as? The only reason I ask is because I'm looking to find more of that type of stuff, any recomendations of good producers or productions of a similar style?

Cheers

Barry

ummmm... actually.. Katana - Fancy Fair is considered "Club" music, although it does has that sweet breakdown...where it sounds like GOA. But otherwise..the beat is pretty progressive. Hence the category "Club"...at least that what my buddies from Belgium told me about 6mths ago when it first came out.

GOA kicks ass...!! I don't know why more people aren't into it?? It was one of the first styles I really enjoyed when I got into the whole TRANCE scene almost 8yrs ago.

I was thinkin that FAncy Fair, was Harder than most trance, although I would probably calss it as progressive. Stuff by FAithless nowadays is Epic House, Deep Dish stuff is progressive which I personally hate. Thats about all i can contribute right now.
