Yeah, I'm a jerk for suggesting something that might actually be useful.

There's a real world out there, there are actually real equipment stores in that real world from where you might actually find a real bargain.

First of all mr mystery the guy was asking a question, I doubt he wants to buy a piece of shit mixer for 200 bux.. He just wants advice-you dont have to be an ass about it !!
ANYWAYS- the dxm series mixers are great , but they do limit the user.
I cant say much about the 06 b/c all i had was the 01 , but the 01 was pretty sweet.
The onboard affects add a little more , but with only 2 channels you cant add a 3rd TT or a cdj,, well you can , but your going to be switching those annoying channels switches at the top..

My advice to you is get a mixer that you wont have to sell to get one with more options... My DXM 01 I got when I first started , but within months I had to upgrade b/c it had to many limitations .. I needed somthing that I could hook up a 3rd TT and a sampler too without switching the channel nobs up top!!! In the long run it will save you money If you plan on doing somthing as a DJ.

DJM-300... but you probably only get it for that price off EBAY.

Posted by ivanbee on Jan-23-2006 19:56:

Behold, my arse.

the reason i called you a jerk, mr. mystery, was because you gave me a smart ass answer. how is that supposed to help me? if you don't have anything resourceful to say, why bother? anywayssss.....that numark looks pretty good, i should be getting a mixer soon. thanks doods!

Posted by blacknoizybox on Jan-23-2006 20:11:

i was looking forward to buying cdj-200s someday, and i was wondering myself, how can i wisely use the Digital Out. i mean are there decent mixers with DIGITAL in cheaper than DJM-800,1000 etc.
what about the Numark USB series? can a cdj with SP/DIF be somehow connected to it?
guys, im really sorry for asking/creating so much topics with noob-class q's about hardware....i have nobody to ask here...

what's the 24 bit thing all about? better sound quality or something?

i think it has to do with recording???

Posted by Devil Bunny on Jan-23-2006 22:09:

no, it has to do with how much information can be transferd. In this case you have a bandwidth 24 bit which is the highest quality audio, it means that you can send/recieve 24 1's and 0's in one pulse, converting the 24 1's (eg 111111111111111111111111) to the base 10 unit we use would be...... 16,777,216.

okay, the 24 bit sound only applys to the digital signal. so in other words.... 24 bit sound is HD.
