my friend lent me this game last week, and ive been hooked on it.. originally i stayed away from it because of all the crappy reviews, some even saying its the worst ff in the series... wtf? i think this might be one of the best in the series, but it still doesnt compare to ff7. i guess i enjoy it more because it brings back some of the elements from the older final fantasy games, and i really havent liked some of these new concepts that have been pushed from FF10 and on

best ff ever made imo.

good graphics
nice music
nice characters
superb storyline
superb and simple ability system + battle system
absolutely fucking wonderful enviroment (lindblum , treno , alexandria)

all these ^= my all time fav game

Now what did I write that got deleted? Oh yes, I said that out of VII, VIII and IX I think I probably enjoyed IX the most. There's not a lot between them though. X was my first Final Fantasy game and remains my overall favourite, and the only other one I've played is X-2. Here's hoping that XII will be amazing.
