robo-trippin'

what do you think about it?

used to be fun, not anymore. its always just felt like a 'dirty' high to me, compared to the 'clean' high of stuff like weed. its been just over a year now since my last robo-trip. the coolest though, was when everything was 2d for about 4 hours straight, that day, i think i lost touch with reality.

i'll admit... when i get sick i'll take a bunch of Robitussin cough gels and it fucks me up to the point where i don't care that i'm sick anymore, and i enjoy that sort of drunk feeling... but i tried it only once recreationally (at a dose high enough to really fuck me up) and it was one of the scariest drug experiences i've ever had.

been there, done that.

i agree with the dirty feeling of the high.. was never a huge fan of it.

i honestly forget, i think my friend and i split an 8oz bottle of CVS max strength Tussin... which is 88.5mg per ounce, which puts me at 354mg. that seems pretty high tho, i might have taken less... probably around 3oz.

ya i remember the first time i did it, i did about that much with my friend, and then i drank about 10 glasses of wine while watching james holden. great fucking time but i couldn't even walk after that...the best is the morning glow you get the next day...

jesus i wont even drink that crap when i'm really sick. i'm like a little kid who runs around the house hiding and screaming, "NOOO! i don't WANNA take it! it tastes nasty!"



when i lived in japan though, all the guys at my school were into that becuase we couldn't score any weed or other drugs...as if the beer machines on every corner in that country weren't enough. hahah i guess they all got bored of just drinking, so that was like the new thing. my boyfriend was doing it and i was always like, "well have fun weirdo" no thanks.

the few times i did it i would take 400mg (the whole bottle of robitussin cough gels).

i just felt like a bad person eating 20 pills.. hehe.

i never got anything that great out of it.. and i would always feel shitty the next day. definitely not a great drug.

After my friend did it a couple times he got a severe case of Acid Reflux and had to goto the doctors. I can only imagine what the doctor thought when my friend said that he takes robotussin to get that high feeling. lol It was never my thing tho. Never did it, probably never will.

is robo-trippin some sort of new electro track or something?

this is how my night went...

1. go out to a nice dinner and stop by CVS for a bottle of tussin
2. go home and drink half the bottle with good friend
3. wait for effects to set in, listen to music and watch Winamp visualizations
4. watch Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas (it all went downhill from here...)
5. see something scurry across the white carpet and argue with friend whether it was a centipede, frog, or bunny rabbit
6. go back upstairs and chill out in my bedroom and listen to more music
7. run to bathroom to puke
8. cry
9. lay in bed and insist on having the lights on, NO music, no distractions
10. friend gets frustrated
11. tell friend to shut up while i lay in bed holding my tummy cause i feel like i'm going to die
12. finally fall asleep and wake up the next day just feeling confused and gross

hahaha that story is great. i doubt ill ever do it again but theres been times where i have no booze and no weed and im like 'i just wanna get high and put on my headphones...should i go to 711 and get some robo???' i hear a buncha kids have died from it though, not from chugging but from taking the pills or actually snorting it...gross

weed > than any drug on the planet, naturally. but there's times where you can't get a hold of some for whatever reason and you don't feel like drinking 10 gin n tonics so you have to search for other methods...robo isn't that bad i think if you just do it right. some people are really fucking stupid

I never did enough to reach the higher plateaus or anything.

I usually mixed it with caffeine which gave it a more upper feeling than a disassociative one.

The next day was pretty harsh and sometimes i'd stay up for a couple days at a time.

I think its something you do once or twice to try out, and if you like it do it a couple times every year or so, but definitely not a drug you would wanna do everytime you party.
