Car Deck Got Jacked :(
Sunday night, I've parked my car in a area I always parked for the last million yrs. Yonge & Edward, where the world's biggest book store is located.
I've been lazy this yr and left my face plate in the glove box. Thinking no one would break into the car when the faceplate is not visable.
I feel so bad, b/c that deck was a gift from everyone on TA for my 1 YR Anniversary of Interference.
I'm so sorry everyone.
John
Now you get to buy us all a deck each in return
Seriously though, dude that sux. If you have a good deck in your car, get a $200 alarm. It'll at least scare the motherfookers
NOT AGAIN!!!!
Shitty dood.
that sux ... sorry bro
bummer... sad to hear that john.
WOW, i feel terrible for ya man
unacceptable! i expect dinner on Friday.

sorry to hear that but i can empathize with you on that one.
a few years ago, when i was driving an 89 civic hatchback, i went to big star and dave&busters in woodbridge. i had a full system in the car which was worth close to $2k with an avital car alarm.
when i was in view of my car after leaving d&b's with a friend, i see some stuff hanging out the trunk over my rear bumper. i was curious so i started walking faster. when i got close enough to see what it was i started freaking out. it was my power wire, ground wire, rca cables and speaker wires hanging out. the thieves cut all the wires and stole my two amps, electronic crossover, rear 6x9" speakers, deck, even my fuse/distribution blocks!
the only thing they left behind were my door speakers. friggin bastards!
so i started looking around to see how they got in to my car and came to the conclusion that they picked my doorlock either eith a coathanger or they had professional tools. they silenced my alarm by opening the hood, yanking out the sirens and smashing them until they stopped screaming "rape!".
i called the cops and they basically told me they cannot do anything about it and for me to call insurance. my system was not insured. it was a total loss.
and to top it off, one of my other friends that came outside when he found out what had happend, i was following him out of the parking lot then suddenly his car got t-boned by a young punk who thought it was cool to fly through the lot. my friend's car's driver side was all mashed up, he did a 360 and almost hit a parked vehicle. cops showed up almost immediately. the dumbass kid's father showed up and had the balls to say to my friend "why did you hit my son's car? do you know how to drive?" the father had the balls to tell the cop that it was my friend's fault for hitting his son's car. LOL
this city has too many retards.

Damn that's insane! Sorry to hear about it John.

I cannot believe how nobody would have seen anything walking by at any point in time when these things happen. Im sure some people do, but they're just as bad for not doing anything. |

I had my car broken into 3 times in cabbagetown while I had street parking.
They always took cds (the promotional "not for sale" ones - duh!) and they used a slim jim everytime. And stole my neighbour's clubs once (thank goodness he was about to replace them anyway!)
My control panel was hanging by a wire and the cops wouldn't come to print it or anything. They didn't come anytime I got broken into and once told me my car would have to get towed to a lot for them to print. Lazy bastards. They'd hurry for a doughnut sale I bet!
Cops: To serve and protect.? Nope. To irritate and annoy.
