I'm a little bit sympathetic to the Palestinians, but this is unreal and extremely offensive:

Yes, the Bay area is socially liberal, but you would think people were a little less ridiculous than this.

They dont represent liberals, they just represent idiots. I think they should live in Isreal where every time they get on a bus they risk getting blown up before they speak for other countries. Agreed. I know these people aren't representing the majority in the Bay Area. My point was again that the left has their own parade of wingnuts. I'm glad they're not breeding very fast.

While I recently become democrat I certainly dont support those peoples cause. After attacking Iraq, it would be simply wrong and hippocrtitical for us to negotiate with ANY terrorist organization. It would be wrong to negotiate or recognize any terrorist organization even if the Iraq was had not happen. Most extremist muslims do not accept ANYONE that is not fundamentalist muslim & that includes those dumbass protesters at Berkeley University.

Some more comments I have about those pictures.

"The American Flag upside down with a swaztica attached is the stupidest thing I've seen in any protest EVER. If the hate the U.S. so much they should get the fuck out of our country. Even if they have a problem with the current president, they are disrespecting everyone ( democrats & republicans ) in this country & everyone who has fought & died for this country in its entire history. Personally I think who ever holds that banner is guilty of treason, and I will certainly not give a fuck about their cause, even if they did have something to say. If they like Facsiast Dictatorial societies so much, they should go live in Iran, since Nazi Germany was done 60 years ago.

The girls wearing the Burkas with the Palestinian Flag should have stayed in their own country if they think women should remain covered and subservient. Multiculturalism DOES NOT work with cultures that do not respect those of their adoptive countries, and unfortunately they are learning this lesson now all over Western Europe. If those girls lived in Saudi Arabia they would have been killed for just walking outside their homes, let alone protesting.

The "BUSHARON Confederacy of Sociopaths" sign: I'll let Pat Robertson comment for that.

What the hell does a rainbow flag have to do with a Pro Palestinian Protest. It is Extremist Muslim Terrorist States in the Middle East that have the worst record on earth for minority rights, and that includes gays.

The Raging Grannies look like a bunch of elderly church ladies just discovering acid. They really look rediculous.

As for the idiots talking all kinds of conspiracy shit about Freemasons & Jews, they probably dont even vote ensuring that they themselves will never get a voice in American politics. If Jews control world politics they are certainly doing a real bad job of it in the Middle East".

I agree with everything you said. There was also one (I forget whether it's in linked sets of pictures or not) with an Israeli flag + swastika design that was offensive. Ward Churchill wasn't much better (he's the 'yes we deserved 9/11 b/c we're all little Eichmanns' dumbass..and people wonder why middle America is suspicious of the intelligentsia).

Yeah, I'm sure the "Queer Alliance for Israel's Destruction" or whatever group they are would love living in some of the countries they're defending since people like them are HANGED in countries like Iran.

Even our fearless King, er president, makes more sense than these guys....and that's quite an accomplishment.

One question: the swastika is known to be a nazi symbol but have you ever heard it represents buhdism? Not saying it does, but someone told me recently that is where the nazi's got it from.

I used to live in the Bay Area. Peopel are pretty sympathetic towards the Palestinian cause and are very pro-Palestine.

First, I thought San Francisco was liberal. Since when was Supporting Terrorist States Liberal. Why do people there support Palestine so much. Arent there many other countries that dont commit terrorism that could use help.

It's not surprising to me that the Bay Area is rather sympathetic to the Palestinian cause if for no other reason than the religious right adores Israel, even if it is for strange, apocalyptic reasons. Still, there's a difference between supporting the Palestinians drive to have a state of their own and doing so by 'wiping Israel off the map'. I doubt the majority of those in SF actually want the latter.

Was mentioned before, but I had no idea that the swastika symbol was used A LOT in a lot of different religions and areas...
