World Trade Center, Marriott, Tall Ships and me.

1998 though 2001 I traveled quite a bit for business - usually 2 to 3 weeks of every month (of which at least 1 week would be in NYC and at least 1 week would be in SanFran). My company used to have frequent meetings in some shared office space in Tower 1 - 83 floors up (a great view over-looking the Hudson into Jersey).
When I was in NYC I would stay at the World Trade Center Marriott - right at the base of the World Trade Center (the hotel was connected to the South tower). The hotel restaurant was called "Tall Ships" and I used to hit it up pretty much every day. The hotel and restaurant were right at the base of the WTC towers - ground zero. My last trip to the Marriott was in early August of 2001.
I was cleaning through some boxes tonight while rebuilding the 2HP.ca filestore and found some matches from Tall Ships Bar & Grill.
That's kinda creepy.

That's the kind of stuffola you've got to keep to show your kids.
My dad gave me a hankerchief from 1937 of the British King that abdicated his throne - Edward the 8th I think it was. Those things are pieces of history.
Wait another 40 years and take it to Antiques Roadshow!
