I still have nearly 1 full year left on my plan and the laptop has some issues. They want me to sent it away for a month to get it all repaired. Too bad I don't have the time for it since I use it for work and personal use day in and day out. So I talked to the store manager and he won't do anything else for me. WTF is the point of the plan! I got it for this reason and now I can't use it! /rant |

Anyways, yeah there's not much I can do to help you out with a laptop cuz it's crazy hard to get those exchanged under PSP. If it were something else I could easily have it exchanged. The warranty you bought is a Product SERVICE Plan not a Product REPLACEMENT Plan. I'm not being a sarcastic asshole here, PRP actually exists. We sell it on items under 200 dollars which is clearly not the case if you're talking about a laptop. So yeah, the warranty you bought gets your computer fixed at no cost to you. If they can't fix it you get a new one and if they have it in the depot over 60 days you also get a new one with the warranty that you have. I couldn't even talk to Chris for you because laptop exchanges have to be verified by the Depot and then APPROVED by head office. It's a painstaking process and not to mention takes forever.
Do you remember who you dealt with when you came in? Like, before you talked to Chris? What they looked like? Heh, I'm curious to know.
I feel your pain though. There needs to be a better policy for sure. I have to tell people when their monitors break that they have to be sent out for repair and I can't give them a new one. What good is a computer without a monitor?

Man, do you notice how his ears turn red when he talks to customers?
He's such a prick and all high and mighty to me and looks like dog with his tail between his legs whenever he talks to customers. Blah.
I'm gonna take his name out of my original post though because I do like my job, lol.

There's no way it'd be back in a week, lol. Pure bullshit.
I've seen laptops come back in 3 months.
What other problems are you having with the laptop? Were you at least given the option of having our in-store technician look at it? That should have been the first thing they offered you. If we can fix it at store level it saves you a huge hassle obviously.

And here's where you're going to hate me even more.
The monitor thing I GUARANTEE the depot will return saying physical damage and therefore not covered under warranty. Not only that they'll probably charge you 39.99 for even coming to that conclusion.
As far as the overheating and shutting off the fan would be replaced. I've had that problem with my laptop before and that's what fixes it.
The CD/DVD-ROM would also be replaced.
And as far as pixels go there's a regulated amount that have to be blown before a monitor is deemed "defective" so therefore that wouldn't even be an issue to whatever technician was fixing it for you.
HAHA SONS OF BITCHES EH!
What you're telling me wouldn't even qualify for PSP exchange. It would definitely all be fixed at the depot.
Stick it in the microwave or something, lol.
*I'm kidding, don't actually do that.
Oh well. I guess I'll just have to run this thing into the ground.
I knew you looked familier. I'm there all the time spending every penny I have.

If I see you one day I'll come and say hello. And if your looking for a car, you know where to come!

That's one good thing about Dell, they have a service plan where they actually send someone to your house to fix your laptop, so you don't have to deal with long wait times without a computer.
