Audiogalaxy....... HELP!!!

okay it seems as tho my audiogalaxy aint working too good... whenever i try to open it, i get

"error connecting to proxy server"

i did a search on this and it was suggested that audiogalaxy was just busy or something... but this happens to me EVERYTIME i try to use it... its been like this for a good 2 weeks

can anyone help me out here???

hi mate.. im no expert on Audio galaxy but firstly when its not working check ur satelite queue 2 see if there is high server load. Other than that have u tried reinstalling it or it could be for some other reason my bro had this prob when we shared the internet connection through a network in that case it would depend on the proxy u were using between the comps,

The thing is tho... i didnt change any of the settings... the program worked fine for a couple of months.. until 2 weeks ago

im abit ignorant when it comes to the technical side of computers... can anyone explain to me in idiot terms what the term proxy relates to.. and what i'd have to do to fix this problem?

Just blame it on AG and their buggy, carelessly programmed Satellite
right now it's totally screwing up my computer.. when the thing crashes, it doesn't crash cleanly, it hogs the CPU for like 10 straight minutes (where my mouse can only move erratically and very slowly) and then it finally closes itself

As for connecting to the server, I have a 33% success rate. If I can't connect, I usually wait 5 minutes and then restart the program. Usually this works after the second or third try.

Ive been told that my internet provider (Ozemail) has probably blocked the port or something...

meh i dunno...

i cant even d/l songs from tranceaddict anymore

Bizz - Ive tried doing that and believe me after the 10th time it gets quite frustrating

hi again mate seeing as I replied once i made it my dute 2 find out what a proxy was 4 u...(i was bored ) according to a computer 'expert' i know, a proxy uses port settings between 2 computers which are networked to allow them 2 use the same modem (internet connection) by rerouting ports and sum other technical jargon (i aint no computer expert i barely know how 2 turn a comp on..). My mate sed that if there was a problem it could be cuz of two reasons firstly if you arent sharing a network connection between the computers try looking in AG satelite 2 c if it is trying 2 use an ip address in the proxy if it is tell it not 2, or if u r networking the 2 comps u need 2 put the ip settings of the modem using computer in the proxy box thingy.

o and does and1 know how 2 contact swamper cuz the form thing dont work and i wanna offer sum bandwidth....
