any way to condition slipmat?
lol i may soudn like a cheapskate but has anyone conditioned their old slipmats? my platter is starting to stop *tear.
i dunno, never tried.
but if you decide to get new ones, try these:

at first i didn't like them, 'cause they are stiff, like cardboard stiffeners they use to mail vinyl. but they grew on me. they work well, and they are really durable.
the person @ guitar center, said they will soften up as they break in. if they actually softened up, i haven't noticed. you can still hurt someone if you threw it at them like a ninja star.

cheapskate!
this reminds me, i need some slipmats
Slipmats are the cheapest piece of equipment... If you don't even have the cash for 2 slipmats, I can't see how you could have the cash for anything else... Even if you just throw a few coins in a glass jar everyday you could have slipmats before the end of the week.
Sicmats are fun.
The color really doesnt fade..
