Kyma

Anyone used it? Know anything about how it works? Is it like Reaktor or something? I would like more than anything to play with this for a few hours, its too bad ill probably never see it, 3.5K for something that I wont be able to demo first is way out of my pricerange.

(Yes I know this is what BT uses, im suprised a search on Kyma for this forum only returned 4 results)

Kyma has a much better interface than reaktor, also the user library of modules is amazing. A bassic kyma system is pretty week, you really need to upgrade the cards. And they cost 650 each.

Ridiculous price. Only the professional producers will be able to afford this - maybe creating a bit of a gap between bedroom producers and pro's.

That's called Reaktor, except it's actually pretty full featured.

That said Kyma Vs SoftSynth is like ProTools TDM > Adobe Audition.

Audition is very good, but without the multiple DSPs behind it it can't hold a candle in terms of latency and shear ease of use..

Anything that puts DSPs into your computer though gets expensive quick..
