Ok...Arriving in Atlanta tomorrow!

Right...so me an my mate are arriving in Atlanta tomorrow and we have no guide book so have no idea what to expect. We've just had a week in DC which was pretty cool but all the bars were pretty dead apart from the weekends and we were hopin to meet loads of people!! So, if anyone knows any cool places to go in Atlanta that might satisfy the drunken thirsts of two english men please PLEASE tell us what places are cool to go at night time! We'll be there from tomorrow til the 3rd (I fly back to england on the 4th)

Thank you!!!

Oh yea, not sure when I'll next have internet access so if anyone has any suggestions I might not seet them til the 1st of feb!

Me too but the brewery Mario is referring to is Sweetwater- a local brewery that has several different types of beer and if you don't find at least one that you love then there's something wrong with you! VIVA SWEETWATER!!!

Well they need to get larger cups (they may have since I went there when I was like, in the 6th grade which was a whiiiiiile ago). I like doing whole-world suicides but those cups are just too small to fit all the flavors of coke worldwide into them

Well, first impression of Atlanta was getting off at the wrong Marta stop (Garnett, one south of Five Points) and ending up two English guys with pulling big suitcases through the hood! Taxi!! Went to CNN which was ok and did the Coke museum (which was crap, INCLUDING the free sodas at the end!!) The Aquarium was very good, altho the going to a Basketball match (Hawks vs Orlando) wasn't that good! We were stayin in the Days Inn in downtown and unfortunately had no idea what was what in Atlanta or might have looked for somewhere in Buckhead or Virginia Highlands (which seem nice areas) as downtown consisted of a few bars/restaurants round the Peachtree mall surrounded by about 5 blocks either way of tramps following us around until we gave them money to sod off! Went for a meal with Leeann and Scott (cheers guys!!) who reccommended I eat some osyters which had a slight disagreement with me, put it this way...that was the first time I actually thought, this is it, I'm going to die! (er...cheers guys!!) Then yesterday morning before my flight went to Fado to see England crush Wales in the rugby! Dont think I really got to see as much of Atlanta as I'd have liked mainly due to the fact we didn't know too much about the place and only managed to find a guide book when we were actually there (meaning not a lot of time to plan stuff) but definately a place I'd come back and visit (when the newspaper is giving away free flights to America again!!!)
