Happy Chinese New Year

the years are brief
so little to enjoy
still fresh on our faces
then gone all awry

forget past troubles
leave them behind
you can't stay supple
with fragments in your mind

follow that dream..or vow
..or lie
check one off from that list
of things to do before you die

before the end of this year
this year of the dog
do something from that list
like me. I'm gonna eat a dog.

and slice him like a guppy.

Let us enjoy our dog
with no worry,
no egg nog

no nothing

no logs

(they roll down stairs)

and still we'll share,
to eat this bit
of doggy shit.

enjoy, my friends
and make amends
with all that was old.

your internal youth,
and a new year we shall mold.
