Northern Exposure 1 (2CD version)

I recently found the 2CD copy, its fucking fannnnnnntastic. Its amazing how Sasha and Digweed could create journeys out of nothing. Anyone agree or disagree with this?

hey andy

i have the 1cd version.. i wonder what the 2nd cd sounds like.

also, was this 2nd cd recently made? as NE1 came out almost 8 yrs ago

pork

the 2xcd is the original uk/australian release.... the 1xcd is the CRAP US ultra release.

2xcd all the way!

Posted by keithos27 on Feb-02-2006 04:12:

oh yeah... and it was released in 1996... so that's 10 years ago!

one of the best cd compilations out there.

Posted by torontotrance on Feb-02-2006 04:18:

still fucking kicks ass, the 2CD is so well put together, so driving and so hypnotic

btw porky, I've taken you off block forevah

andy,

check out northern exposure 2 when you're done... the uk version is the 2xcd but the us version was split into 2 1xcd releases (east coast & west coast editions) but they are the same...

Posted by Omega_Blue on Feb-02-2006 09:27:

both northern exposure 1 & 2 (east coast) are classics.. I love the old school breaks sound of that era...

one of my favorite tracks of NE1 is keiichi suzuki - satellite serenade

Love Poundin' Sensation

Ultraviolet - Kites

def. my favorite track on the album

I also enjoyed NE 2 (east coast), although the first track by Gus Gus just doesn't work for me. Too much religion.

i personally thought Kites was the weakest, cheesiest link on the cd

well whether it is good or not it still gets stuck in your head.
i kept humming it for days until I remembered what song it was.

Listened to it more carefully some time ago and it totally changed my thoughts about Sasha & John Digweed...
Both NE and NE - Expeditions are fabulous. Haven't heard NE2 yet.

psht, i thought expeditions was the weakest of the NE series (though i gotta admit, i loved the first transition between tyrantanic and space manoeuvres). you're seriously missing out if you haven't heard east coast, just like you're missing out if you haven't heard involver or balance 005 for example

Involver and Balance 005 both rule.
