Richard Gale - SpaceMan (2006 remake) full track 192kbps

hey guys.

i quickly cleaned up one of my old tracks.

personally i think it is for a chilled beach party/the end of the night chill track. or for just chillin while drivin in the rain

takkra - you can ride around on your bike to it turned up loud

it is experimental and is not really trying to be dancefloor oriantated - my favourite style! so doesnt really go too far. think of it as a journey..

hope you enjoy it!

hehehe.. I have to bike alot richard ! no fun..

bt

your music keeps me from getting tired and it gives a great atmosphere !!
I bet the same would go for this.. ok
nice subtle start with the highwoodblock thingy ..
again very very nice pad(s?)
and a real spacy melody hehe!
Instead of the perclike "bassnotes" id rather see a actual bassline.. but thats just my opinion.. percs make the track have a really "cold" atmosphere, wich is nice but maybe not suitable for a chilled beachparty hehe ! you might see chicks with their.. yea thats right mr !

I like how you don't use any "standard" sounds. This is a dreamy track for sure. Though the beat confuses me: it's too hard to really get one in to a sleepy mood, but it doesn't "drive" either. Well I know you weren't after a driving beat anyways, so guess it's a matter of taste as always.

Posted by richg101 on Feb-12-2006 15:15:

hey chrono

cheers for the review. i know what ya mean about the beat being a bit powerful and not very dreamy. i wanted a track that was really out of the ordinary. i wrote the original as a kinda hommage to m.i.k.e. i wanted a track that would pound but be really dreamy. for driving to, or ending a long set with.

thanks again mate!

your tracks have always been chill.. i like that. its a nice break from all trance etc

the intro is kinda cool with those bongos and maybe a bit trippy vocals . the male vocals that come in after a while doesnt sound nice to me.. i think it doesnt fit that good?
they are a bit hare krishna thingy there

is it only in my headphones or does it clip in his weird brake?
the female vocals fading in and after a boom a bass line something kicks in, the funky drums come back . the kick is good but maybe a bit to strong for the track? the sidechain vocals or something becomes hypnotic the beat is kinda weird in that break it doesnt drive and doesnt feel sleepy moodish as another user said.

this track is chill as hell but the kick kind of breaks the mood... Ambient version? noone would give a review cuz everyone would be sleeping

quality production though

thanx mr cola

your points are nice. this track is in limbo. i dont know what its trying to do... but mainly be chilled.

i know what you mean about the clipping sound in the break. but it was kinda intentional. the clipping is before the reverb stage. i added distorsion to the choir to give it that underwater feel..

thanx for the review

mr cola ^^

well if the clipping was intentional then i dont mind

I have listened to half the track now, I was really hoping for a powerfull main part at the first break. But this is not that kinda track... Not much happening here really. Nice percs tho But this was not my cup of tea. Good production anyway, sounds smooth!

I enjoyed this track, it's very chilly.
I like those whispering voices.
You are right, the choir has a underwater touch. Good job!

thanx speactra

and you see the underwater effect...

how is your svd rmx goin?

Nice tribal sample in the opening.

I think you could have spent less time getting to this melody. You didn't do anything for so long.

I really like the chorus-ish gated pad.

Other than that, though, it just seemed kinda boring to me. I could see myself listening to it when I'm not so interested in details.

Posted by richg101 on Feb-20-2006 22:37:

thanx jex

i know what you mean. i sometimes listen to it when writing essays or reading. more of a chillout track that doesnt go anywhere.

the beginning does take a bit long to get to the melody i agree.

thanks for listening and i hope you do enjoy listening to it sometimes. give it a chance to try and take you on a journey

Nice track here rich. I've missed a lot of good music being produced since ive been away. Your tracks are much more professional now. When did you finally get the good kick?lol.

This track is nice and chilled, i could lie in bed just drifting away to this.

Like that breakdown very angelic.

The track overall imo is very proggy but still has a real chilled emotional feel to it.

Arrangment is spot on and the mastering very nice too.

Good track mate really enjoyed this one.

Cheers

Kane

i wrote it with those ideas in mind. chilling, listening to music and falling asleep.

my friend klems sent me some nice kicks a true diamond. been using them on my tracks and they have helped loads.

maybe check out 'kosmic raver' people have said its my most bangin. it really makes the most of a good big kick!

thanks mr kane
