Sasha or James Holden single?

So... where is it? It's been ages since a solo release from either. Any reasons why?

Grueling? Sasha had so much help with that album it's pathetic. Don't get me wrong, I consider 'ADD' one of the 10 most influential EDM tracks, but he had a TON of help creating that album.

Sasha has always had help with his tracks or remixes, as far back as one would care to remember..

Why are you lumping these two artists together in one thread, out of all the artists in the world that are being lazy at their productions?

Just curious.

Because they're among a very few producers who:

- are among my past favorites
- have not produced any recent original work
- have been historically consistent in solo production
- still maintain active careers, though DJing or remixing
- have not de facto retired

Virtually no one else fits all that criteria. Holden did release Come To Me, but that had been around a long while before it saw pressing. The Wheel can hardly be considered a proper single release; I have not heard Lump.

Sasha & Co. haven't witnessed any original production since Artificial Heart and Motorola, and I loved almost everything through that. Plus, I really liked the Precious remix, and am curious what they can put out as a single.

True and accepted.

But everything to the namesake is gold.

I believe with "lazy" he was referring to the pace of production, not the quality.

...considering "Magnetic North" is the most amazingly unique, awesome and fucking unreal track I have ever heard... I too ask this.

and as for hime not doing any of the mastering/engineering.... doesnt matter he came up with the melodies.

It's ok to not know anything about compression and what have u.
