Recipie: Bombass Chicken Sandwich

Alright...this was my first time trying this, but it was so damn good

Ingredients:

- Boneless Chicken breasts
- Olive oil
- Monterey Jack cheese ( I used pepperjack)
- " Cajun Seasoning " ( I used Emeril Essance )
- Thousand Island dressing
- Hot Sause ( I used Tobasco)
- Red Bell Pepper
- Lettuce
- Rolls/Buns of your choice

Brush on olive oil and add "cajun seasoning". I also added some montreal seasoning, garlic powder,Chopped onions. as well as italian seasoning. Toss on the grill.

While the chicken is cooking, start on the sause. Add about 4-5 tablespoons of thousand island dressing to a bowl. Then add hot sause (I used about 5-6 dashes of tobasco) and mix.

After that I cut up my bellpepper and threw it on a skillet with a little olive oil and some crushed red pepper. Try not to over cook them or else they will get soft and soggy. I like a little "crunch" to them. Mine turned out great.

Once the chicken is done (not pink) add the cheese on top so it can melt nicely. I was using a foreman grill so I just added the cheese when I put it on the bun and let it sit for a few while I cleaned up the dishes.

Build it. I added the dressing to both sides of the bun, I kept the chicken, bellpeppers, cheese on one side so the cheese has a chance to get melted with all the hot stuff.

= CrAzY DeLiCiOuS

Try it....Im makin more for the super bowl

can I take out the peppers?

I can't eat peppers.

Posted by L.E.N. on Feb-05-2006 16:36:

You can do whatever you like Marc. They do add a great flavor though. Im trying to think of a good substitution for them....dunno maybe mushrooms...or cucumber.

Why cant you eat peppers?

L.E.N. I have a request:

Will you create your own recipe thread so all of your easy to make and delicious recipes are located in one easy to find thread?

Posted by Marc Summers on Feb-05-2006 18:02:

and tell the mods to make it a sticky

Oh man it should! You've got great cooking advice for us college folk!

And in any event it's just going to be nice to have them all organized in one place if I ever need a quick meal...

Thanks M8!

One thing Im still trying sort is....Should I just use the new thread to hotlink to the original threads (Id like to keep the feedback seperate), or just start posting all the recipies in the one thread?( That could get annoying) I think Ill still make individual threads per recipie so you can see a new addition, and you can just referance to the recipie list when your hungry and looking for ideas. Im glad some folks like my recipies....I try to keep them cheap, but sometimes you have to pick up specific item you may not have laying around...like thousand island dressing...I never use that but adding some hotsause to it makes a pretty damn good spread...I may try it on a burger. I have to get rid of it somehow

As long as they're all indexed in an easy to navigate and find fashion, RJT will be happy
