The COR recipe list

Ive had a few requests to put all my recipes into one thread to make them easy to find. They have also requsted it to be a sticky....Mods, you make the call. These arent "gourmet" by any means, but student/pocket freindly. Now that there is some more intrest and I have my own digicam I can update more often. If you actually try one of the recipes, please share the outcome. Id love to hear your results. Thanks for the idea DJ RJT and your support Marc Summers...now you need to actually try these and let me know how it was.

You see how punctuation can totally skew the original meaning of a sentence.

I'll add my super budget pasta dish I am making tonight, 4 huge servings, for under 4

Posted by kr00t0n on Feb-06-2006 22:50:

As promised:

kr00t's cheesy corn & turkey pasta:

Ingredients:

250g pasta of choice (I pick fusilli as it mixes easy)
200g/400g of Philedelphia cheese (more for more cheesy sauciness)
170g wafer thin turkey ham
bowl of frozen corn
2 chicken stock cubes
Garlic salt, black pepper, and Tabasco to taste

Add stock cubes to large pot of water and bring to a boil

Cut up turkey ham into strips while water boils

Add pasta to boiling water, plus black pepper, garlic salt and tabasco to taste

Once pasta is almost cooked, add frozen corn

Test to see when pasta is cooked through

Drain in colander

Add Philedelphia to pot on hob, and heat & stir as it melts

Stir in turkey ham when melted and heat through

Add pasta/corn and mix thoroughly

YUMMLES!!!!

This makes 3 large servings for roughly 4, great for students and the like, I've had it for dinner, and will do so for lunch at work tomoz and dinner tomoz night

Posted by L.E.N. on Feb-07-2006 04:01:

That could prolly be just as good with almost half the cream cheese.

I opted only for corn as I used to have peas in there too, but as it is a store some for later style dish, I find broccoli and peas don't lend themselves too well to being reheated, yuk

and yes, as I said, cheese amount are dependant on what you want, after last night, I prefer only 200g
