last sunday arvo at nova969
i pressed stop on the tune playing (ben lee) instead of a music bed i just used.
so yeah Sydney got some nice dead air for a few seconds
hehe not a problem ben lee is better when his muted.
wtf phil you're gettin gigs already? and i here was thinkin you were just givin gobbies cos you were a homosexual.
hahahaahahaahah
where did you play philby? and why was no one invited?
i forgot about the crossfader for my first gig a couple weeks ago and instead of cutting straight into my lovely pretty tune, i gave the room 10 seconds of silence whilst i was busy filling my trousers with turd.
good work on getting gigs philby! i knew all those blowjob lessons i gave you would pay off.
This one time, at band camp...
First time i played on a big system was when the PF residents were invited to play at Republic at rOOm. Aaron Roach and myself were playing closing after Quinny & Chris Meehan and after building things rather nicely i thought it was about time to drop my weapon of the time which was Chable's remix of Cloud Cuckoo that i'd been lucky enough to scam a copy off the week before.
So the scene is set. Beats are matched and eq's a peeling off. It's all sounding fucking brilliant i'm thinking and when this bassline drops for the hook i'm gonna swtich out what is left of the track i'm mixing out, push the lows some more and the crowd will be mine.
Leading up to the moment of hands-in-the-airness i'm almost ready... then BANG.
I get a little overconfident and instead of using the mixer, for some strange reason i decide it would look cool to hit eject on the previous tune right at the correct moment point.
Only problem was i hit eject on the wrong tune.
And the club was filled with silence.
Instead od making the night i absolutely killed the entire vibe in the club.
Way to go Deano
fuck pity dean cos that choon would have destroyed all in its wake. instant cumpants.
lol i witnessed that fateful night
Lol dean, happens to the best of em =) Thats why it never happened to me..

when i played at open decks @ altitude tour, i trainwrecked a mix really bad, i was mixing in tilt - 12 (dousk remix) at that time it was the most played record in my bag, i played it out all the time in my bedroom and at listers house, i couldnt believe i stuffed the mix up, i was so embarassed until i looked at the crowd..........
there was no crowd
LOL. and the post of the year goes to, paulie c.
in 04 playing a unify gig in the main room at room, just after M James had finished, i ejected the wrong tune right as it was about to peak ...
its fair to say that night was hell, because Dale (Head Security) told me i was playing Q Bar music (think old sunday type stuff) and i had to start playing cheese... Its fair to say i made Volume what it is today
