Synthpop With a Trancy Touch

Im not really a big fan of Synthpop in general, but there are a few tracks Ive heard that have really impressed me, Theatre of Tragedy Machine (VNV Nation Remix) for example. I like tracks that tend to have trancy elements. Ive been recommended other remixes by VNV Nation. Any suggestions for tracks or artists along these same lines?

Dont know that song, but try Royksopp maybe?
eg.
Royksopp - What Else Is There (Thin White Duke Remix)

Not sure if its synthpop or not, but its got a pretty damn synthetic feel to it with a somewhat trancey vibe.

Ahhhh, Futurepop.

I think I've heard Wumpscut do stuff like that when they aren't feeling too angry.

Thanks guys. Icon of Coil seemed to hit the mark pretty well.

It just surprises me how many people refer to electrohouse or electroclash when they hear the therm "Futurepop"

Try "Venus Hum"

Can't remeber the name of their album but it's very good. Annette Strean is superb vocalist.

Phatheadz "Does It Feel" (The Edge Factor Mix)

more of an 80's synth band remake of "How does It Feel, to treat me Like You Do"... but Markus Schulz does the remix on it and it's from '96. Quality is still impressive given the year though.
