Johan Gielen signs with Black Hole Recordings

Dutch DJ Johan Gielen has signed with Black Hole Recordings. Black Hole ensures worldwide distribution for any future release of Johan Gielen. Itis by no means a marriage of convenience, since Johan Gielen can easily be labelled as one of the most successful DJs around. Black Hole on the other hand enjoys a fine reputation as the label of (amongst others) Tisto. It is to be expected that both partys will benefit greatly from the new cooperation.

The contract between Black Hole Recordings and Johan Gielen is worldwide, with the exception of Japan due to prior arrangements.Effectively it means that the current label from Johan Gielen (Tunes For You) will be licensed exclusively by Black Hole. Choosing Black Hole was fairly logical, according to Johan: They have a worldwide reputation for very high quality. It almost constitutes a mark of quality in itself.

Theres a worldwide demand for any record bearing the Johan Gielen name, as he performs around the globe and has been doing so for many years. As a direct result of the contract with Black Hole Recordings, fans and deejays anywhere will have much easier access to any production from Johan Gielen. That will certainly be true for the new album Revelations, that is already under construction and to be expected later this year.

Black Hole has expanded into the most influential trancelabel worldwide. Apart from Ti보o en now Johan Gielen, the label also harbours artists such as Mark Norman, Cor Fijneman, Mojado, Mr Sam, Phynn and many more. It makes Black Hole Recordings easily the most important label for trance-deejays.

The signing with Black Hole is not the only landmark this year for Johan Gielen. At the forthcoming edition of the largest indoor trance-event in Europe, Trance Energy in Utrecht, Netherlands, Johan Gielen will perform live for the first time. A huge leap forward, according to Johan, Its going to be very innovative, surprising and a truly special performance. Johan Gielen has been a major headliner and crowd-puller from the very start of Trance Energy, over a decade ago. He will perform for a crowd of over 25.000 party people.

Also definitely worth a look is Johan Gielens new website, going live Wednesday 8th of February. Check www.johangielen.com for the latest news, tracks, sets and video-streams.

+10 though I will admit, I'm VERY dissapointed they're playing the same time @ Trance Energy... I was really looking forward to catching Without You Near live, but obviously... you know where I'll be.

Insteresting move. Gielen sucked for the last few years, shitty producing and cocky mixing (dont play with those freaking buttons...)

But that Ijojs track he obviously made is quite impressive. This could be a nice careerswitch

You can't compare the two because they play different music.
