C&C: first decade. Yeha

consists of all the command and conquer games from tiberian dawn to C&C generals.

i hope they tweak the graphics for the older games, especially tiberian dawn and red alert 1.

C&C first decade

kewl... I played red alert 1 again a couple of weeks ago. damn.. what was that lol. my infantry was you a bunch of large blocks weird to see such an old game again.

wtf is tiberian dawn ? i know only tiberian sun.

The first command and conquer was by far the best one. Red alert was a rediiculase ripoff

hmm certainly tempting... although I have the most of the games already. Such a good series if you as me.. well i heard renegade was shit...

the only thing worse than crap games are re-released crap games. the very first C&C sucked the big one badly enough to scare any RTS fan away from the sequels.

Red Alert 2 is one of my all time favorite games

hehe, each to their own mate! i didnt play another C&C until generals since i hated the first one so much (plus you had warcraft & starcraft to fill those gaps).

I wonder if the multiplayer is still lively...

The first C&C was the first game I ever played multiplayer and it was sooo much fun. The player campaigns also warped my mind ( I was in like 6th grade when the game came out), and I thought the whole story was pretty cool, especially when Nod shoots the guy w/ the pistol in the back of the head. Also unlike Warcraft 2 which followed it and warcraft 1 which came before it, the two "races" each had different units which made human vs. human play much more interesting.


When warcraft 2 came out though I stopped playing C&C entirely.

AOE 2 still rules all IMO though , and I prefer Starcraft over WC3

I still remember myself sitting in front of the PC playing Tibierian Sun for hours Hehe, good ol' times I wil DEFINITELY check this one out. HAVE FEAR, NOD, I'M COMING!!!

So did anyone get the game? Are the graphics reworked? Because i' d definitely enjoy playing C&C and RedAlert again, but the old graphics engine would probably kill most of the fun

Why does everyone care about graphics so much? I've played the originals a few times in the past years, just to mess around, and the graphics do nothing to hinder my having fun.

tiberium dawn = command & conquer 1, the game is supposed to b a trilogy.

dawn -> sun -> twilight

anyway definatly picking this up when i get some money in my pocket, i have them all already bought execpt for generals and some addons but would love to play these again on xp without having to trick the os.

Did Twilight ever get confirmed by EA??

Anyway I thort it was going to be called Dusk, as that is what the end of the day is called. As the 3 games where ment to be called the same as the 3 parts of the day.

I really wish EA just left Westwood alone, as RA2 was never ment to be made, it was not part of the storyline, as RA1 was before Dawn.

If you finish RA1 on soviets, Kane was there, he takes a lot of the army and turns them into Nod, for what I remember.

How the heck to you trick xp in order to play it? I've been trying to play tiberian sun when I installed XP on my computer but just gave up cause there was no support for the game after soo long...


I in my opinion I hated the fact that Red alert came out, I loved C&C and C&C tiberian sun, didn't see the interesting part of red alert.

Ever get a real cheep comp and stick win 98 on it, or rebuy it, it came out on Sold Out softwear which works on XP, the wird thing is firestorm works perfect on XP

so is this actually changed at all or is it just gonna be all the games in one box?

I work @ EB Games. I pulled the stores only copy of this out of the box and went "OMFG!!!!".

Layby right there, didn't eat lunch cause I only had $10. Gotta wait till thursday to get the rest of the cash together.

Problem is, being a WoW player, I'm prolly going to get it home, install it, then go "yeah I might just get a few more lv's in WoW first"

EA have just changed they motto to

"EA Games challenged by everyone"

I loved Westwood and C&C, but this is just another way for EA to make money, resell old games.

^^ yeah but I don't have a shitta kicking around to play original C&C on, so I welcome a version which is optimised for XP.

YES! I know about compatability mode, however that only works as long as I chuck a crap ass version of directx on, otherwise all the movies fuck up and half the gameplay is crap.

Plus, 2x dvd's...mmmmmmmmm
