Jones & Stephenson - The First Rebirth 2006 [Bonzai Classics]

One of our big classics reworked in 8 brand new mixes and also 8 classic mixes including the original, Baby Doc & The Dentist, Primer, Antidote and Ljungqvist remixes!!! Will be physically released as a limited edition collectors box, a limited edition picture disc and 2 seperate vinyls containing the best original and 2006 remixes. The Primer remix has already been hugely supported by Armin van Buuren and many more, now finally you long wait will be rewarded with this set of fantastic remixes for every DJ for every style!
Also to come is a stunning mix from John 00 Fleming ...one mix to watch out for for sure!

Released on 28-02-06

I hate 200x (fill in year) remixes. Its cheap and shows the lack of originality of todays artist...

90% of those new remixes suck hard, for instance those Strange World 2006 remixes.

Lets hope this package wont fuck up this legendary classic...

Primer mix = average
Antidote mix = average
Ljungqvist mix = average
solid slide's mainfloor mix = average

solid slides "beautiful horizon mix" = outstanding
Yves DeRuyter vs Kompressor Mix = outstanding

joof remix - not heard yet

The one's i've viewed as average are so because they lack energy, they lack the pure power of the original which is what I'm basing my opinions on, afterall it's the first form of the song & the one that should be compared to.

YDR vs Kompressor have done an energetic, almost reminiscent of the good DuMonde days, and it works well, powerful harder trance.

The Beautiful Horizon version from solid slide has a much tougher kick & overall good feeling about it which the others don't, they just take a bonzai classic & turn it into fanny-trance & the first rebirth is not about that.

just to note, had a pm from solidslide, bonzai have mislabelled the 2 mixes, so the one I like is the mainfloor mix & the beautiful horizon mix is the softer of the two. Many thanks to SS for clearing this up

out of the sample J00Fs remix sound pretty weak. It's missing alot of energy which is needed to make it worth it.
