Filteria - Heliopolis (SUNTRIP RECORDS)
After his stunning first album in 2004, Filteria is back with 'Heliopolis'.
Heliopolis - greek for city of the sun - describes perfectly Filteria's music: Massive superpsychedelic full-on goa trance opening windows on enlightening journeys into the sun.
This year, Jannis improved his production and style, still hardcore dancefloor material with tracks like 'Speech Module' or 'Rotate to Vibrate', but also more storytellings with 'Mind Expansion' or 'Reflected'. The album also includes a remix by the Swedish ambient master Solar Fields and a breathtaking remix of the legendary 'Lunar Civilisation' track by Crop Circles!
1. Unfiltered (Moon rmx)
2. Speech Module (feat. Red Gravity)
3. Reflected
4. Mind Expansion (Short Version)
5. Pyrogen
6. Rotate To Vibrate
7. Lunar Civilization (Filteria's Higher rmx)
8. Cloud Kingdom (Solar Fields rmx)

gonna check this out for sure. Filteria's last album was some of the most wicked goa trance released in years.
powerful and very melodic goa which reminded me of the good old days.
To me it sounds like a tired rehash of Sky Input, from the samples. His style also gets on the nerves very effectively.
Anyway.

he's kinda right about the 'rehash' though
in a genre like goa trance which is practically dead _ANY_ release is interesting.
that is true,
haven't heard much stuff like this, lately
K just listened to those samples, seems I looked over the psyshop link ... anyway cinos was right thou, one big rehash
well even though slightly agreeing with mr Cinos on this one, I could name lots of worse music in or around the same genre.
it still stands out.
