'Two Full Moons & A Trout' is back with new remix!

Apparently "Kosmas Epsilon mix" will not be released.

Also for the next months, a mixed 2xCD by Luke Chable & Kosmas Epsilon on Platipus!!! That's it's good!

Yeah you're right, Original & Caspar Pound are simply the best song for this track! In my heart for ever.

What is the meaning of re-releasing a classic like this if you don't invite pioneers to remix it?
with all respect to Luke Chable and Tek-tonik but I doubt that they will do the original and Caspar Pound remix any justice at all.
Why not inviting Oliver Lieb, Quietman, Man With No Name, POB or any other interesting name to remix it?
although that Chab remix can be good if he gives it a tougher approach than his more slow paced prog stuff.

I can say why not Man With No Name - he has gone absolute shit lately. Heard Critical Mass? Worst kind of fullon.

I'd bet Lieb lost a bit of trust with his crap-tastic rape of Hallucinogen - LSD too.

Absolutely unnecessary, to say the very least.

i await the day... one less person constantly bitching about them can only be a good thing

yeah but that remix of LSD is a couple of years old now. Lieb have done good stuff after it. not to mention his own update of Netherworld which was excellent and the new Paragliders tunes.

It seems that we -the public- are the only ones who realise that.
Perhaps the old dudes like Quietman don't produce anymore (is he still doing music?), or it's just because Simon Berry knows that a Tektonik remix, and ofcourse Chable remix, will appeal to the masses?

It's a shame though, I have always adored Platipus and I still do, but I feel they've gone to shits a bit ever since they started that "Platipus:Euro" sublabel. I hope they'll go back to some more -true- Platipus music.

One thing positive though is that the new Art of Trance single reminds me of the good ol' days, which is a good thing.

Man.. something new by Quietman or POB... I'd crap right through my pants out of excitement.

I'll go for the good old Caspar Pound remix on this one though

or how about his 4 new releases as "Solieb" on his Maschine Musik label?
They're leaning towards the techno'ish minimal'ish genre quite a lot, but I think they're pretty good. minimalprogressivetechnotrance music, or something

Posted by montana on Feb-13-2006 13:06:

hey wait a minute, whatever happend to the freaky chakra remix that was announced. that's the only one i wanted to hear, what a pisstake.

Posted by RebeL9 on Feb-14-2006 00:36:

listened to the new remixes and I must say I am really dissapointed.
Chabs remix is a slow and boring house remix. Tektonik pulls out a really shitty cheese remix with the samples totally fucked up.
Luke Chable brings a boring and gray remix with no interesting stuff at all.

amazing to see that Caspar Pound and Friends, Lovers and family remix stood the test of time and still kills all new remixes.

not worth a penny at all. instead invest in the 1993 release with Caspar Pound remix.

Posted by Tayfoon on Feb-14-2006 04:02:

They want current artists to do the remix work

Isnt that obvious ?

Wierd choice with tektonik tho

Posted by Kapedano on Feb-14-2006 05:40:

I have to agree with Rebel on this one as well, the Casper Pound remix is the best out of all of that.

Posted by idoru on Feb-14-2006 06:22:

Bullshit.

Posted by Dj_Es-Dva on Feb-14-2006 09:23:

I cant say ive heard them but going on names, this really enrages my hattred for luke chable, havent heard him done even a decent remix of anything.

Posted by Dj_Es-Dva on Feb-14-2006 09:59:

Heard samples of the remixes though probably not a decent sample but from what i could hear chab and luke chable mix make me cry the other 2 seem good casper pund seems better as its not that out there, still contains a bit of the original.

Casper Pound remix was part of the original re-release back in 97 or 98 thats why.

Posted by RebeL9 on Feb-14-2006 15:40:

The new CDM also contains the versions which was originally released back in 1993/1994: original mix, Union Jack remix, Caspar Pound remix and Friends, Lovers and Family remix.
A nice decision by Platipus to include those since they are all superior

Posted by tiestoinmix on Feb-15-2006 10:10:

i think this release missing something

Posted by noikeee on Feb-15-2006 10:20:

this is a joke right? chab is a good choice but they just can't let any single classic to rest in peace..

Posted by tiestoinmix on Feb-15-2006 10:37:

where is Kosmas Epsilon mix?

Posted by zoric on Feb-15-2006 13:40:

It should rest in peace, i totally agree. But, I still think it was a pretty cool remix by Tektonik..Nothing very special, but OK.

Posted by Dj_Es-Dva on Feb-16-2006 09:09:

I think Platipus need to re-release all their material minus any new remixes.
