Mix???

I've been wondering a long time about it, it may be dull, but...
what's the difference between a Club Mix, Extended Mix and an Original Mix? As far as I'm concern, it's all the same

Posted by Aquarian on Feb-13-2006 14:22:

Original mix is the first version.

Extended mix is a longer arrangement, typically using the same elements as the original mix.

Club mix is a version more suited for club atmosphere

Posted by Honzi on Feb-13-2006 14:22:

Errrr... Is this thread some kind of joke? Anyways: Original mix is the original version of the song (if you see Artist - Track (orig mix) u know that that it's unchanged Artist's version). Extended mix - extends the song (so it's longer). Club mix - version to play in clubs. Hence the names. And it doesn't matter for u ie what bread you eat? If one is with sunflower, and the other w-out, they are the same for you?

EDIT: damn, Aquarian, you were faster

Geez, i explained it to u with a bit of sarcasm, because i thought it was obvious what original and other mixes are just by these words own meanings. No need to hate each other for that, I wouldn't take it THAT seriously if someone would have told that to me..

Wanna translation? OK:

'zapamietam' means I'll remember it (Stren said me not to worry)
'nie chcialem go obrazic, ale mimo wszystko troche sie zmieszalem' means:
I didn't want to offend him, tho I'm still a bit abashed.

I'm not keen on making myself enemies, but I DON'T have to explain everything to you.

Luckily this dick doesn't speak for all Belgians

and what's a tool? like Nathan Fake - Outhouse ( Beaty Tool Mix )

Posted by Ivand on Feb-14-2006 03:41:

Tool?

Posted by Honzi on Feb-14-2006 14:33:

I guess 'Beaty Tool' is a name of the remixer of this track.

Posted by Ivand on Feb-14-2006 14:36:

No, I've seen Tool in many releases

Ex:

Nathan Fake - The Sky Was Pink ( James Holden Tool )

Posted by Honzi on Feb-14-2006 14:45:

Then the only thing that I have left is to say:
I have no idea.
Tho artists tend to name their versions of songs kinda... freely. So I bet it just doesn't mean anything.

Posted by mellow_head on Feb-14-2006 14:49:

Nabistai is fake. His hobby is ripping off other ppl's signatures.

"I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me saying "You're next". They stopped that when I started doing it to them at funerals."

I rest my case.

Its a tool. Its not a complete mix of the song, its just the beat part. Hence its a tool to be able to create live mixes.

Posted by Ivand on Feb-14-2006 15:29:

ooh, i get it
