Actually my darling jdat, I was joking around about the sig thing, and if you couldn't pick up on my blatant sarcasm and light heartedness about the whole thing, then you sir, are el noobo.

Yes, it is very "touristy", but being that this was the only destination that all 8 of us could agree upon, I hadn't much other choice.

I do intend to do some sight seeing outside of the zona hotelera, like chichen itza, and tulum. I already have a snorkelling trip booked for the 26th.

So, although you tried to "rain on my parade", you didn't succeed Imma have a wicked awesome time on the beaches of Mexico!!

It did back in November.

They have been rennovating everything to be ready for the "spring breakers", so hopefully it will be pretty much recovered when we arrive!

It's all good that you were joking around but don't forget to bring jimmy hats

I'm sure you can do better then going out the zona hotelera simply to go to beaches filled with more drunken tourists

Bah... maybe and maybe not. A big goal of mine is to experience the REAL mexican culture. I know there is a little town that is about 45 min bus ride away from the zona hotelera, so I hope to make my way over there.

Meh, maybe I will do nothing but spend the entire time surrounded by a bunch of drunk idiots, but I will have a fricken great time doing it
