Read This! CD Decks - Pioneer - Gemini - American DJ...

Which is the best brand if I was looking for a CDJ? I was looking for something about 250 US$ each but I just don't know what brand to pick, or model. I needed the cd-deck to play CD-R and as I am a newbie I would like some info on the other important extras and functions of a good CDJ.

The Pioneer CDJ-100S comes at US$299.. and they are one of the best CD players on the market.. you HAVE to get them..
but if thats over your limit of $250 just get used ones for a lower price on ebay

but if you want new, you should get the Gemini CDJ-30 which you can find for $250 at some places. Has seamless loop, pitch bend, etc..

Dancing Dude CD Decks

So what I am hearing, Pioneer CDj100s is the best stuff, if I can I should try to get it. But then if I am 100$ short go to Gemini and Never come near anything from American DJ????

Please, I really like more people options.

Yeah.. try to get the CDJ-100's at all costs.. even if they are used.. :P

But if you have only $250 for each, get the CDJ-30 if you want seamless loop, but get the CDJ-20 is you dont think loop is necessary. The only good American DJ product is the DJ-3, which is also quite good for $250, i think that would be my choice though for you - a lot of features but not as compact.

And look up on eBay for Gemini CDJ-30, a store is selling them for $240! CDJ-20's should be around $150-$170

CDJ100...

Definitely hold out for these....they are going dirt cheap on ebay as another poster mentioned....

I'm also in the market for some CD players... I've been searching the net for info, and playing on a few cd players...

I'd definately say the Pio CDJ-100s are the way to go! They are excellent... and most rigs I've seen have them (alongside the 1200s)

Actually for me, there is no option... CDJ-100s all the way ;-)

Cheers
Greg

Well I have the Pionner CDJ-100
Listen to this nice story
I Came to the shop and asked for a pair of Pioneer CDJ-100
While I Was checking them out I asked about some Features and durability
the salesman tells me to pick it up while its playing a CD, so I picked it up
so he says "Now Shake It"
I said "what?!?!"
"Shake It" he said
so I started to shake the thing with my hands
really hard shakings and dont forget the CD is playing
Well, the sound didnt stopped, didnt bounced or anything
just a pure quality trance sound comming out of it.
If you ask how
well it has an oil-damped mechanisem that prevents it from being stopped while it is shocked.
So by all means GET IT!!!
Plus the quality and featurs like the jog dial and the effects are great for a mix.

I managed to get a CDJ100S on eBay for 100 (about $150).

The 100 was the "Buy it Now" price! Noone had bidded, and it had just been entered that day. The Buy it Now price disappears after the 1st bid, and most the CDJs I've seen on eBay go well over $150, usually way over $200. So I snapped it up straight away. Will post the money to him in the next couple of days.

Now I just need to look for another bargain and I'll have two, then I can hunt for a mixer.
