To all the flamers on this board.
rant on: Next time you see a thread that has already been asked a million times before, feel free to move on. In IE you don't even have to open the thread, you can see a preview by hovering your cursor over the thread link. There are too many assholes on this board that give noobs a hard time for not using the search function or what not. Maybe it makes sense to make the search function a stickey at the top of every single forum gallery. The best thing you can do is answer the question, the worst thing you can do is be an asshole without contributing anything and creating unnecessary animosity. :rant off

does no good to make the search button a sticky at the top of every page... the idiots dont look at the stickys in the first place

But then you get this person bumping the thread all the time. Note I've never "flamed a noob". Just like I say why should someone expect a responce when they can't be arsed looking?
wtf
Can't you search? there's been tons of threads asking people not to ba assholes

I'd have to agree with etazbaz, people on here in general are complete dick heads! Compared to a few forums i've been on/am a member of.
However, i can see why the regulars get impatient. Because noobs who join are equally as impatient, in their case with reading.
They couldn't be arsed ('it takes too long' etc) to search to look through a few threads, all of which might not be exactly what they're looking for, but if you take everything you learn from all of the threads. You get a pretty good answer on what you were asking.
I have to put my hand up though regarding the bumping. I've just recently bumped a thread i had on what size monitor i should get for my SSL, yet i only bumped it once. And now i've let the thread die without an answer.
Anyway, my main point is, i don't think noobs realise how much info is stored away in the DJ Booth. Yeh people say search. But every forum says that. In our Dj Booth, you actually can find the answers you're looking for compared to other forums, that's the difference.
that's my 2p for today
nelly
I just searched (I love irony) your posts and where exactly have you been "flamed"?

there's no prob tellling them to use the search, but you can still answer the question too. That way they'll know for next time.
It took me a while to get to know the various functions available, I didn't get it perfect on my first visit.
Go easy! Only flame the aged!

Standard Clothing before logging on to the intarweb..

taking 10 minutes to read is nothing compared to the years of devotion it takes to learn to dj
if you don't have the patience to read a few pages to help you out, there's no way you have the patience to learn to dj
those are the same people who come on here and post "i've had my decks/cdjs for a week now and i can't beatmatch"
Boo hoo, someone insulted me on the inter web!1
yeah, if people dont have the time and dedication to search through a few pages to learn stuff, why should we help them in the first place? everyone wants things handed to them on a platter. and some noobs (such as Hitman420Swisha) deserve a good flaming coz theyre blatant cockheads.

Put it this way...everyone on the internet are bitches they take out all their aggresion on the alpahbet located on the keyboard and most likely if your the thread starter your gonna catch the agression.
I think the search button needs to be way more prominent, it is kinda "hidden" up there in the top right, and its not big or bright, for a forum like the DJ Booth and the Production Studio, i think they should have a nice big bright central one, so new people see it and think "hey MAYBE, just MAYBE, i could search for an answer" first, sure its not gonna solve all our problems, but if u find a solution to human stupidity then i think the world might wanna know about it, not just TA
ah i remember that, thanks.
this is why i flamed you (taken from my flame post):
its bad enuff that the guy didnt use the search enginge but for fuk's sake guys i saw at least 4 threads on the first page with "CDJ" in it - 2 of those were specifically about the CDJ200. theres also a rather large sticky talking about the benefits of CD decks.
i love the way people love to give grumpy replies and say "use the search!!!!!!!!!!!"
what are your problems... you aint being paid - so dont treat this forum like its your job to police it.
if your bored of the topics being posted then ignore them. simple as that....
i agree with the thread started here. a lot of you flamers have too much time on your hands and make the place quite uncomfortable imo.
im about to put my flame retardant suit on this instant...
People get fed up with reading/seeing the same threads all the time, especially when there is at least one thread on the first page talking about what the thread starter is asking. It's very hard to have sympathy for someone who obviously can't be bothered to try to find the answer on their own. Also, it's not as easy as you'd think to avoid the repeat threads considering that probably more than half of them have some vague thread title like "Help me.." or "I Need some advice..." etc.
