So, how many of you all have I pursuaded to buy the V6's?

Well, I'm just wondering--how many people have I reached? How many people have I pursuaded to try the Sennheiser HD25, Beyerdynamic DT250's, or Sony MDR-V6's? What about the other (non dj?) headphones I talked about?

Anyways, I just wanna know, how many people have I reached?

Cause, uh, I just found out that I managed to reach some of the most...fervent of you all... I just got inatrance (the guy [one of the guys?] with a pic of the v700dj's as his icon), to buy the v6's. LOL! Who else have I reached? Anyone?

What do you think I am using to listening to 01_lucien_foort_-_live_at_radio538_dance_department_01-05_20.mp3 right now with? My local Guitar Center tried to sell me the MDR-600's. I went online and bought the MDR-V6's. I had to change my pants after listning to 4 Strings' Into the Night on my decks with the V6's.

They really are an excellent choice.

Posted by Gluegun on Jan-21-2002 04:36:

You're joking about the pants thing?

.....

Right?

Posted by Blake613 on Jan-21-2002 04:49:

Yeah, uh... joke. Haha. Jokes, yeah, I get jokes.

Ooh, hey! I found sony's official webpage for the 7506!

http://bpgprod.sel.sony.com/bpcnav/...roduct.BPC.html

Neat! BTW, I don't consider much anything else in that line (even the "Better" MDR-7509's (really, they aren't as good) all that worthwhile...

Anyways, uh, really, was it a joke? Come on! you can tell us!

Posted by j_spot on Jan-21-2002 05:48:

u convinced me..I just havent bought em yet

Posted by phatdelt on Jan-21-2002 08:07:

i'm stickin with my 7506's for right now - they were free and i don't have much of a budget to get any new ones. the ones that i've used at my local record shop though didn't impress me too much either. they were sony's but keep forgetting to check out what kind.

sound quality was crap though

Posted by DJ Darchinova on Jan-21-2002 14:05:

Right now I'm looking for the best opportunity & cheapest price.

My V6 SHOULD be arriving today, according to the UPS tracking. But with one hour until 5pm, I'm feeling doubtful. Do they deliver outside of business hours (9am-5pm)?

Looks like I gotta wait until tomorrow.

i just got my v6's today.. gluegun.. i thank you with all my heart.. i love you! these are great!! i put on my old set.. then these and i went.. what the...? do i have headphones on?#@$ and the sound just ripped my other ones right off the face of the earth.. /me bows to gluegun.. i am your slave.. hah.. im seriously really jumpy right now cuz i got them.. i dont think ill be using speakers for sometime.. and unlike what most people say about getting new earpads.. these things are soooo comfy.. no headaches.. no pain.. nothing.. ahhhhhh! thank you!!

Posted by Gluegun on Jan-22-2002 03:00:

....Woah.

drinkyourmilk, uh, calm down there!! Wait till you get the earpads, at least... and, geez, there are headphones out there that sound better than the V6's for sound quality. As soon as you wanna upgrade for non-dj stuff, gimme a ring, alright? And....sheesh, calm down!!

BTW, Happy listening!

Posted by drinkyourmilk on Jan-22-2002 03:23:

heh.. sorry im all calmed down now..

these sound wonderful to me because the only way i can try headphones, its by buying them.. noone around here has a clue about what im saying if i ask them a question.. i dont like living here

i may check out the pads though.. cuz they are starting to hurt a little bit.. even though ive had them on for 6hrs straight so far.. o well.. sorry about going a little overboard there

yea, you should definately get the dt-250 pads

Wanted to buy MDR-V6's but has become a huge hassle to do so here in South Africa. Picked up a entry level set of Sennheiser (HD200).

Will be getting the MDR-V6 if I'm in Canada later this year.

Thanks
A.

Gluegun, I broke down and brought myself a pair two days ago. It should be here today. I cant wait to listen to them. Thanks alot!!!!!

Posted by Eugene on Jan-23-2002 20:44:

I bought it today

Posted by El~ZaPo on Jan-23-2002 22:33:

Well, I got mine today. Etronics wrote down my postal code wrong, so the headphones got send to New Brunswick! After a call to UPS we straightened things out and they arrived the next day (today).

The feel of the headphones was weird at first... it feels as though they are a bit too tight and are squishing my head, but these are the first headphones of this kind I've tried, and I'm getting used to it I think.

Soundwise, these things are great. I've never experienced such rich, full bass before. They are very analytical (anal, for short ). This means that they really bring out the little details in the music that I never noticed before.

They block out the sound great too. When I was listening I couldn't hear anything else

So, in short: GET THESE HEADPHONES

Posted by Gluegun on Jan-24-2002 01:21:

Heh, another satisfied customer...

BTW, you can stretch them if they are too tight for you. You can also get the pads, to relieve some of the pressure...

Posted by Qtip_00 on Jan-25-2002 06:22:

These headphones are great!!! But after 3-4 hours of listening my ears start to hurt. I will be getting those pads...

Posted by Eugene on Jan-29-2002 03:39:

I got mine today, and listened to them.
Yes, I agree -- very rich and textured sound, also quite loud and clear (in fact I lowered the volume by 1 level on my CD player for every CD that I have).

The difference for me was great but not that astonishing, I'd previously been working with Aiwa HP-X111 that are also "cans" but by no means professional ones.

OK, I do have a few comments. The cord is not that long; on my previous set the cord was much longer. Secondly, how can I use them optimally in mixing? Do I simply listen to the right half, while having the left half turned sideways? And how can I maximize the bass/beat that I need to hear clearly, I tried switching the EQ's on my mixer but that doesn't affect what I'm hearing in the cued signal in these headphones. Or am I wrong? Sorry for the stupid questions, but I want to use these great headphones in the best and most productive way I can

And also this question: do these headphones offer better hearing protection in some way, compared with others, or no?

thanks
