Tutorialists - I need your help!
Hello,
I'm very close to launching a new forum website, the goal of which is to provide a comprehensive source of music tutorials for beginning and amature musicians, be they trance producers, singers, guitarists, whathaveyou - a kind of music tutorial wiki, where tutorials are posted and then commented apon.
The forum is not meant to be a competitor to tranceaddict, as the format is completely different, but should end up as a kind of quick resource. It will provide a simple way for people to refer back to specific topics that are revisited over and over in here and other forums.
Basically, what I need is this - tutorials! I invite anyone and everyone to try their hand at making one, so long as they have a tested method of doing something. There are sections for technical advice, such as compression or getting a specific "trance sound" and sections for writing, such as getting the "perfect arpeggio."
I also intend for the site to assist in advertising indevidual tutorialists; the best tutorials will be made stickies, and those writers' signatures will be made prominent in the forum because of that.
So please try your hand at making a tutorial. I invite everyone to do so. Also, comments and suggestion on format would be greatly appreciated. Either leave them here or in the forum itself.
The forum is located at:
http://www.musictutorials.net
And if you just want to say hi, the general chat section does not need guests to be registered before they can comment.
Thanks.
Sounds good! I could write some Psy tutorials for you
... actually I am writing one, but that one needs still lots more work.
Awesome! What is the one you are working on about exactly?
nice, im gonna check this site later tonite
The tutorial is more or less a getting started on psytrance for newbies. Some hints on equipment, arrangement and stuff like that. I have bookmarked the site and will post it when it's done. Dont know when I'm finished though..
OK, 1 x crappy tutorial posted
It's all good guys. Keep posting tuts.
I'll be looking for mods at some point in the near future. Anyone I ask to become a mod will most likely just be a frequent poster who knows what he/she's talking about.
Still looking for opinions on site format as well...
Thanks guys.
