Need tribal techno recommendations...
Yeah, this time I'm looking for tribal techno compilations.
Perfect example would be Voices Of Africa by Umek.
Bump?

Carola plays mostly minimal now, like most other techno DJs who used to do the loop/perc thingy. Personally, I think the Voices Of Africa-series is some of the worst things Umek has ever done. Same generic perc loop/tribal chant sample-combination that has been done so many times already.
Redhead - Magic Flight
DJ Shufflemaster - Hermes Discord Soul
Cristian Varela - Intensitiva
Zzino vs Filterheadz - African Bulldozer
Kobbe & Trish van Eynde - Valve
any of the Black Codes-releases
Jamie Anderson - Annihilator
Planetary Assault System - Booster
Secret Cinema - Acid Come
Paul Mac - Cards On The Table
offtopic: basd, if that Awakenings event is during easter and my cousin is still in town living in her apartment, I am so there.

Maybe I'll do it anyways, and just stay home for the easter weekend instead. Time will tell.

| Originally posted by basd I'd say don't wait TOO long, I've been disappointed by the event being sold out once or twice already (a week or two before the event, that was). I'll happily buy you a ticket when necessary. |
I'll talk to my cousin when I get home. Been wanting to see Technasia live for ages (they rarely do live PAs), and I'm always a sucker for techno events where the sound is as varied as this one.
